I remember when people decided that everyone started giving kids participation awards so feelings didn't get hurt. I mean what I assume to be the start, 25 something years ago.

I remember some parents bitching that kids need to learn they're not inherently special and unique just for existing, and that respect + achievements had to be earned. Not just given after shedding a few tears and quilting everyone around you when you don't come out on top.

Is that the shift in mindset that helped foster the troon endemic? All these impressionable people being told how feelings Trump reality, and that they're individual snowflakes just for opening their eyes in the morning?

Power level time: I was in Kindergarten in 1989, even back then there was participation trophies in T-Ball. Us kids certainly didn't ask for them, so you can blame the baby boomers for creating them I guess? Ironically it's the boomers who whine about participation trophies too....

So, when I was like 13 or 14, maybe a little bit younger I can't really remember, but I was preteen-ish, I was taking a shower in the middle of the day, I remember seeing this little bottle of some kind of body oil in one of the drawers in the bathroom a couple days before and I distinctly remember going into the drawer and being really curious about this oil. I have no idea, but also no desire to comb through his feed to see if there's an answer to that question. There's a chance it's some kind of chastity device or latex nut case, since I think that's one his interests. That's a normal girl thing, right?
