This made me ugly laugh.
Think of it like this: a lot of fangirls get into a fandom soley for shipping potential. This sounds weird, but it is easier to talk about characters you all know loving and shagging each other than it is your special yaoi OCs. This way, they can build a community over what turns into "actors" for their ship. Characters are less characters and more like actors who star in different plays. The faces are the same, but the roles and costumes can be different. Camping in the CoD fandom means they found the voices hot, the characters hot, and the situation has enough variation for them that they can either write cuddle love fest or knifeplay or anything in between.
The good news is I just looked at the lyrics since bandcamp has that feature. The 20 seconds I heard was a genuine cacophony.
Yes, and yes. The breakcore fandom in prospering grounds shows that there are people crazy enough to enjoy it, but there's likely others who just share and like for support.

It's the "any two guys" stereotype. These types of fans are actually disliked in a lot of fandoms because they have a specific type of thing they recreate with characters from different fandoms. And the slightly more sane fans will complain about how they don't really like the show/ship for what is really is but because it can be a vehicle for their preferred type of thing. I think CoD gets it a lot because it's a well-known franchise and there isn't really a lot of lore that's technically important. The campaigns are typical action movie stuff and most of the people play it for multiplayer and don't care for story at all. Anything popular with a low barrier to entry is gonna get this treatment.
Fandom drama is its own special brand of crazy that is so fun to sideline.

Not sure if this is common at all or outright weird but I'm having FFS consultations this month and I want to ask my cousin if I could use her face as a reference for the surgeon.
This comes mostly from the fact that we were always told we look quite similar and that I want facial features that are still congruent with my genetics to some extent.
