I wish people would have told Trump "no!" when he wanted to run for president.
The GOP doesn't have super delegates. If the voters pick someone, the party doesn't really have a mechanism to defy them.

They changed their rules once in my lifetime to keep someone out, and that was Ron Paul in 2012. He was running really far behind Mitt Romney, but he had enough delegates to potentially force a contested vote at the convention. He asked electors to vote their conscience, a tactic copied by Hillary in '16 and Trump in '20, and it opened an avenue to play rules lawyer and knock the establishment candidate out. The rule they changed was the required number of delegates, and they raised the number just enough to disqualify him. 2012 was a bad year for voice votes. The DNC did one too that totally disregarded the actual vote but I can't remember what for specifically. Something about Israel I think.

Anyways, they were only able to do that because Ron Paul just barely met the requirements to be a problem. Trump was extremely popular in his first primary and summarily took down the GOP usual suspects during debates and rallies. There was no rule they could have changed that would have stopped him. The only other way to disqualify him for '24 would be a constitutional congress where we change the requirements to be president by adding "no felons." I've mentioned in previous posts why the DNC should not call a constitutional congress in this era because it would backfire horribly.

Ironically, the only way Trump could have been stopped was if he ran as a democrat. In hindsight, people were a little shocked he ended up running as a republican, but this is probably why. Half is what motivates him is all the shit talk, so I'll never get why everyone keeps antagonizing him. It just fuels his fire.

Flags don't always have to be disposed of with such pomp and circumstance. If you can't drop yours off with one of the aforementioned groups, you can do your own small ceremony — as long as it's still held in a dignified manner.

It turns out that burning a flag is a perfectly acceptable means of disposal so to remove the right for Americans to protest by doing the same is a bit strange. As far as restricting any American right in general, I'm curious as to how his supporters will feel, since many talk about their freedoms and rights constantly. I believe this will be another case, similar to trannies oddly enough, of people being happy to restrict the rights of those they dislike or against acts they dislike without understanding the issues that will come as the government continues to restrict rights.

"I'm okay with losing MY rights as long as THEY lose theirs too" or "THEY can lose their rights but MINE will be safe since I won't do X" are my guesses.
 
If the strategy is to let Trump screw up in the debate then hand the trophy to Trump now because it won’t matter what he does in the debate; but it will matter what SHE does. And that’s the way it is.
I don't give a crap whether or not Trump and Harris debate, because we know how it would go. I'm more interested in the VP candidates' debate. I'd love to see Walz wipe the floor with Vance.

As far as restricting any American right in general, I'm curious as to how his supporters will feel, since many talk about their freedoms and rights constantly.

They won't even consider it a loss of their rights because it's something they can't comprehend doing in the first place. Because they fetishize the flag (sexually) to a weird degree.

His supporters aren't generally known for looking ahead or thinking things through anyways. Perfect example:

Arizona rallies for both Harris and Trump. Almost identical circumstances (venue, time of day, outside temps, attendance...) yet of the two crowds, who both had to wait outside to be let in, only the Trump crowd had over 100 people drop from heat sickness. There were less than a dozen at Harris's from what I can find.

Trump's last rally in AZ at a mega church also had a large number of people drop from heat sickness too.


You can draw plenty of conclusions from this, but to me, it means one of two things:

A) Trump supporters struggle as a whole with thinking things through, planning and forward thinking.

or

B) The crowd from that recent Trump rally was heavily salted with out of state attendees who don't know how to deal with the desert heat.

Both sound about right though.

No, it’s not some sort of secret scheme to eliminate the first amendment. The flag burning issue has always been a Republican talking point for decades, with amendments and legislation being proposed to make it illegal.

Unsurprisingly, the US is one of the few countries that does not punish flag desecration. I can absolutely understand why people would want punishment for that act, as it is attacking a national symbol. However, better for people to express their true feelings about the country through symbolic attacks such as flag burning, rather than be forced to hide under threat of arrest.

I remember back in 2020 here the thunderdome spergs were saying that Biden becoming president means that this site would get taken down. Funny thing is the only threat to this site since then was a Canadian druggie scammer who sold bootleg hormones to minors. The only president who mulled over changing the rules of the internet that could end up getting this site attacked legally is the same one whose balls they lick here every day of the week.

Facebook did suppress Hunter Biden Laptop stories in late 2020 at the behest of the FBI because they were told it was Russian propaganda. They continued that suppression into 2021 until the content was vetted, according to Zuck's letter. I can see this both ways. From the Thunderdome autists perspective, it feeds that bias Trump has created because yes... technically Facebook did suppress information on his political rival in the most broad sense.

But the other side of that coin is, it's pretty well documented the Russian bot/troll farms have been pumping out shit non stop and to ignore that potential would have been equally as irresponsible IMO. Especially when it's the FBI saying it to you.

Of course, Thunderdomers and Alaskans will insist the "FBI" is actually "The Joe Biden Crime Family™️" but that initial concern came from inside Trump's own house and is part of the reason so many of them want to abolish the FBI because they see it as a traitorous act by the FBI at the time to suggest this.

Regarding the COVID19 suppression... look. I'm all for freedoms and liberties, but at some point, when people are dying because they see eating Horse Dewormer on facebook cures Covid, you have to take the fucking toys away from everyone because some idiots ruined it.

There's a reason why so many boomers aren't on facebook anymore. They all fucking died by eating horse paste and taking lethal levels of colloidal silver or being complete, abusive asshats while in ICU's because they saw stupid shit in their FB feed alongside a crying bald eagle with God Bless The USA playing. There was a LOT of people doing a LOT of stupid, dangerous shit and someone needed to be an adult.

Either way, I'm TOTALLY not going to vote for Joe or Hunter Biden this year.
