It's a mix of social awkwardness, and most adults under 40 (Autistic and not, "LGBT" and not) are having less sex and functional relationships. They socialize and date online, watch more porn, view sex as transactional, so they literally have no idea how normal sexuality and attraction works. This is cranked up even more for the social contagion transtrenders who "discovered themselves" via escapist outlets like anime or roleplay. I remember over a decade ago, the "old school" transmedicalist types I knew of were more aware that most people wouldn't be on board with the transsexual thing, and opted for dating "pansexuals" instead. But now the vast majority of self-identified "queers" are both hypersexual and sex-obsessed, but childish and virginal at the same time. They'll say it's transphobic to not have sex with them, but if you point out that genitals are a major factor in having sex (and even for the case of bisexuals or kinky types who don't care about genitals, not everyone is interested in mismatched sex characteristics or just aren't attracted to you), their brains will implode.
