APU Apastaja hit a new ATH last night and according to a post in the /biz/ discussion thread was picked up by another exchange. I'm already up 76%/$150~$180.
I'm thinking next week of throwing another hundo towards it regardless of market performance and plan midterm to get up to 1 million coins.
Speaking of which are any of you guys betting on pepe and cope? I'm intrigued by those shitcoins and to help diversify my defi portfolio.

Is there any kind of chain which is so shit that it’s basically free? I would really like to make a gimmick NFT project. Not for profit obviously but the ability to say that it is unchain and allow people to transfer them between each other.

Most ETH layer 2s have low fees. Solana is a centralized piece of crap so it's fees are very low too.

Making a token (fungible or not) on any chain is not particularly expensive, its just a basic smart contract deployment. The expensive part is often providing the liquidity to trade that token, or in the case of NFTs, spending time and money on marketing them.

I guess setting aside some tokens for airdrops so you can get some marketing might work. Also, who will provide the artwork for the NFT? What story are you creating with it, why should people collect it?
The aesthetic has to look good as well, the narrative, as it were.

I was talking about COPE a few messages ago. I had a bag for a few weeks, it pumped a bit but it's been slowbleeding for too long. The team behind it is well meaning, but the meme simply doesnt work. They are shilling it everywhere, yet nobody ever talks about it. I dont think they will ever reach a new ATH again.
PEPE is overpumped as far as I'm concerned, but that's just me. I dont buy shitcoins when they are above billions in mcap. I sell them.

I have about fifty dollars in PEPE from when it was cheap. I'm not starting to sell until another zero drops. I think they'll be another big dip soon, but the current ETH bump will carry it up more for the next week or two. I think the coin will live or die after that on the brand. I'm not saying we'll ever see anywhere near a cent, but PEPE has a lot more cultural relevance as a dumb joke than SHIB does. If we flip DOGE, who the fuck knows where this goes.

PI "mining" is something I've been into for a while. It costs nothing and you just gotta renew every 24hrs. Yeah it'll probably never pan out, but if it does, I'll make money. And I'm not out anything if it doesn't. The "devs" sure are making a killing on the pushed advertising though.
I hope PEPE keeps mooning. I took a bunch of the Coinbase learn and earn shitcoin stuff that I usually convert to ETH and dumped into PEPE when it started to trend up. Yeah, for "free" crypto, I'm up quite a bit. A few hundred bucks isn't life-changing, but when all it really cost me is 10-15 minutes of mindless clicking through CB quizzes, I'm not complaining.
People play fast and loose with the stock trades and gambling, but I find crypto more fun. Look at Shiba Inu or DOGE, literally millions of dollars in crypto wealth based out of memes. Our "real" money is already fake and gay, might as well go full fake and play with literal imaginary money!

I love taking advantage of APU Apastaja's volatility, and two days ago scooped up another $75 worth at $0.0064 before it went back up to the $0.008 level this morning.
Those coinbase learn and earns are awesome and I need to set some time aside to knock out the current day shitcoin ones.
EDIT: Totally agree with you on crypto vs. stocks/gambling - I'm currently involved with FFIE and playing with shitcoins is way more fun!

I'm noob to the crypto scene and least of all I understand the memecoins.
How come they emerge? They don't serve any purpose, they're not part of some smart contracting technology, they aren't an incentive to fund a company providing valuable service.
