Second, you are comparing the American economy to a Chinese economy whose numbers and metrics are entirely bullshit and literally made up by the government (which officials have openly admitted to), whose population is still majority peasants, which is filled with corruption, and is currently going through crisis as some of its largest companies collapse and declare bankruptcy because most of the economy was literally a corrupt ponzi scheme. If China was preparing an invasion of Taiwan by using a snap military drill as a maskirovka, they wouldn’t be using just nineteen warships — without even one of those even being the Liaoning, Shandong or their escorts.
A naval invasion of Taiwan would be the largest amphibious assault since D-Day and require a troop mobilization that you’d see months in advance. China hasn’t been mobilizing said troops and doesn’t even have the sea-lift capability to transport them across the strait without a heavy reliance on merchant vessels.
It isn’t happening.

Probably isn't happening ever tbh. There's two ways China would likely invade Taiwan. 1: They'd have enough armed paramilitary forces there to tie down any meaningful resistance, and would just land troops there in a non-tactical setting, or 2: assuming a collapse of the US, they'd just lay siege to the entire island and wait for a surrender.
Also slight bit of mil sperging, but I don't think the Liaoning, and Shandong's absence means that much. I think full sized aircraft carriers are slowly going to go the way of the battle ship, and be less and less relevant all the time until they're almost completely phased out. Someone will sperg out about this comment, but it's just a simple truth that manned fighers don't offer the bang for their buck that they used to. A shitty little drone can do just as much damage at a fraction of the cost with zero human life risks, and can be loaded and launched off of a shitty little dingy. A lancet drone weighs about 26 pounds which means you could honestly launch multiple ones off of a civilian pontoon boat, and each one could sink a smaller warship or seriously damage a larger one.
