Just tap O and move forward? You dodge into the attack. I found it easier to time based on the audio cue rather than the flashing red moon rune.

Correct. The timing is right as the audio cue ends.Just tap O and move forward?
Is it good? I've tried other overhaul mods in the past such as Cinders (it's shit) and The Convergence (pretty good), this looks far more impressive.Double post time.
The Archthrones overhaul/conversion/whatever they're calling it demo came out.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=RzzI0EPjYy0It's Demon's Souls in DS3 but without the atmosphere. Most of it is reused assets as expected but they did put in a reshuffled version of Heide from DS2 which I think is the first time I've seen a map from another game added.
It's also unstable. I had to nab a rolled back version of the .exe which has prevented crashes so far but there's tens of pages on the nexus page discussing issues.
I only played for a bit and the first boss I reached was some fire variant of the sickle giant from the Bloodborne chalice dungeons.
Hard to say. Initially I was disappointed that it was reusing most of the maps as I figured this would be the first time someone effectively made a new game within the engine, but going back and rewatching the older teaser material, that never seemed to be the intention. It doesn't deviate from existing DS3 mechanics like The Convergence did but it does add a shield poke for some weapons, Elden Rings counterattack, and an equivalent of the physick flask. Is it good? Heard you the first time champ.Dark Souls is shit
As biased as I am toward the first Dark Souls I can't even deny a lot of shit you said here, spare for the enemy drops; likely a moot point either way since grinding for items/souls tends to be its own time sink.Dark Souls is shit, seriously, It's an exercise in boredom.
I've played other darksouls 3 mods (cinders/convergence/call of the aybss) and this is by far the best. i guess it helps that it started development so late in comparison to the other mods which allowed it to take advantage of the improved moding tools which were developed as a result of elden ring's release. its not just better than other mods because it was made using the improved modding tools however, it really has a better art direction and sense of themeatics / quality which the other mods don't. The cinders mod was basically just add as much crap into the game as possible without changing it. Convergence was basically reskinned bosses while adding takey magics like druids and vampires (lame). call of the abyss had the potential to be good, but it was too goofy with its gothic themes and buggy/incomplete, and the developer had a mental breakdown.Double post time.

Cinders was absolute trash and I never played the other one but I appreciated the Convergence for trying to make its own systems, and I'm very much looking forward to playing that team's ER overhaul in 2-3 years. Archthrones doesn't do that as it's functionally just more DS3 which is good and all but I think DS3 is mechanically the worst of the lot. I wonder how deep they were when ER came out.The cinders mod was basically just add as much crap into the game as possible without changing it. Why is it mechanically the worst? The only things it doesn't have are posie and duel-wielding. Its movement and combat are much smoother than the previous two games, in my opinion.DS3 which is good and all but I think DS3 is mechanically the worst of the lot.
It plays better than DS2 for sure but I personally find the movement and combat inferior to DS1. Personal preference; I think DS1's movesets chain together better. I've never liked weapon arts and even in 2016 I guessed that somewhere down the line we'd have something like ER's AoW. Very few felt that useful and it was rare that a weapon art made the weapon good. ER improved on the unique weapon end but still suffered from a glut of useless ones. DS3's magic wasn't that interesting either as it demanded a comparatively higher stat investment and made pyromancy less useful. I like that hexes were improved upon from their DS2 mush but wish they kept them as their own school. I think it's a vastly better game than DS2 but lacks DS2's zaniness and DS1's delicate mechanical nuance. That's mostly my pvp autism. I maybe should have clarified that DS1 is a much simpler game but for the pvp alone it's my favorite. DS3's world isn't as intricate or well designed but its bosses are better overall. Why is it mechanically the worst? The only things it doesn't have are posie and duel-wielding. Its movement and combat are much smoother than the previous two games, in my opinion.
The introduction of weapon arts severely limited the amount of new weapons its clear thats where most of its animation work went. There's no new weapon classes, twin blades and lances got nixed because itd require them to make them anew since 2 was on a different engine. Why is it mechanically the worst? The only things it doesn't have are posie and duel-wielding. Its movement and combat are much smoother than the previous two games, in my opinion.
Here's the exact numbers. The difference between naked and the worst armor in the game (literal rags) is over 30% resistance to damage.4.7 + 13.2 + 3.6 + 7.9 = 29.4
Armor values are for faggots who get hit a lot. Just don't get hit. Fashion over Function.Skill Issue
You're kinda missing the point which is that every single aspect of the game's design exists to undermine player choices. When a game has combat this simple decision making should be stronger, something DS1 had no trouble doing. Its also weird how jank 3 is when its so derrivative of DS1's code base.Armor values are for faggots who get hit a lot. Just don't get hit. Fashion over Function.
