Popular foods/drinks you’ve never tried - come show everyone how unique you are

A peanut butter and jelly sandwich. A combination of overly sweet and moist white bread, grape glop and thick legume paste sounds pretty unpalatable for my eastern euro tongue (and I can be an enjoyer of some proper slop).

I’ve never eaten shawarma

I had a shawarma about a decade ago. I don't know if it was just that my sister got it from a terrible restaurant but it tasted surprisingly sour and sourness is not a quality I desire in meat. Maybe I ought to give shawarma another shot but I'm not in any rush.

Meat tastes sour when it's starting to go bad, so sounds like you got some bad stuff.

as a bong I like them with blackcurrant jam the sharp tanginess works well with the salty/sweet peanut butter, strawberry is gross imo too sweet can't imagine grape is much better.

I've never had a macaron, I like meringue but macarons look dry AF

The majority of fast foods. I didn't even like them as a kid. Just fries and the occasional pizza slice. Most of that stuff is nasty to me. So when I see people raving about the latest crap from McD's or Wendy's or whatever I have no idea what they are talking about or why they'd even want to eat it.

It looks like more bread and lettuce than actual meat.
Well, there’s probably no meat in it so there’s bound to be more bread and lettuce by default. All jokes aside, they’re… exactly what you’d expect when looking at them. Kinda sad, shabby, and leave you feeling gross afterwards. The Big Mac sauce is alright, though. I enjoy it for dipping fries, aka the only remotely appetizing thing on the regular McDonald’s menu.

Anyways, they’re especially shit now. I don’t know if it’s just a natural consequence of your taste evolving as you age, but I remember the Big Mac (and the rest of the McDonald’s menu, really) tasting much better when I was a kid. Now they all just look gross. I’d eat one if I had nothing else. Other then that, they’re not worth going out of your way for.

You will never have a twinkie. The resurrection of hostess came with "New recipes".

had a shawarma
If you'd like a similar food experience, find out if your local mexican joint has a trompo. It's a weird grill they shave meat on. You can get a nice burrito instead of turban head food.

Also, to the people talking about Big Macs, you aren't wrong, they fucked with it. You'll never have an "OLD STYLE" Big mac again. They "improved" the recipe.

I’ve never had sushi. I hate seafood though so I’m in no hurry to try it.

Never had a lot of fast food chains people jizz themselves over online (In & Out, Whataburger, Church’s etc)

If this one counts, I’ve never had egg salad. Eat plenty of eggs just not egg salad.

Never had a birch beer soda. Sounds tasty but can only ever find root beer and rarely sarsaparilla

I've never had a Dr. Pepper but I don't remember Dr. Pepper being a soda that was heavily marketed or easy to find in Canada until well into my adult years.
Dr. Pepper tastes exactly like some specific French cold medicine for kids or something, so French people (and I assume French Canadians who probably use the same product) deeply hate it.

I couldn't tell you what the medicine is though, sorry.

I never had sushi/sashimi (scared of parasites)
Unless you're getting gas station sushi, I wouldn't be worried about parasites in fresh, properly prepared sushi. Also, you could for sure eliminate any chance of parasites in sushi by eating it deep fried (which I admittedly like, but I'm also an American, so any fried food will sound appetizing to me).
