At least for the air assets, I have doubts on that. The US only recently started branching out from patriot into other SAM systems more optimized for aircraft than missiles.

Im not talking SAMs Im saying the Fed will bomb them as part of their opening moves if they're not already in the air when the shooting starts. I don't know what kind of alertness these forces would be kept at but even now I cant imagine it being particularly rigorous.

Most Texans don't give a shit about the actual Mexicans coming across the border. They do a high part of the shitty manual labor, send some money back to Mexico to pay coyotes to get their wives over here and are hard workers.

What Texans are tired of is we have become the dumping ground for the rest of countries steaming piles of shit.

People from Ecuador, Venezuelans, etc. These people will show up in other parts of the country and be bussed to Texas within twenty four hours and be told how to apply for benefits such as SNAP, CHIP and other bullshit. I used to work in the government sector and saw the paperwork. Caught in New York, two days later in Texas.

We are tired of assholes in New York using Texas as it's dumping ground. They landed there, you fucking deal with them.

EDIT: I forgot to add, the fentanyl problem has gotten so bad that now even the cartels can't even control who gets what, with everyone trying to get a slice of the billion/trillion dollar drug pie. Certain cartels have even made official declarations that they will kill whoever uses fentanyl cause it is hurting the bottom line. The border has to be better secured to at least minimize the oozing, pus filled wound.

Fellow Texan here. A lot of people don't understand that Texas has literal South African/Zimbabwean-style migrant townships both within its cities and along the border, called Colonias. There are at least 2,500 of these townships, many of which don't have electricity or running water (or sap it out of the already over-pumped Edwards Aquifer - the Boomers love having golf courses and green lawns in a climate they have no business being in). Much like South Africa, there are plenty of upper-middle and upper-class whites who have no issue turning a blind eye to illegal migration as long as their gardens are watered, their compounds are maintained, their lawns are mowed and their warehouses are staffed by sub-minimum wage serf labor. Texas in many ways is the South Africa of the US, right down to the climate.

As for air power... they would be facing off against F-15's at the very least. Which is like a bear against a wolf. If the 16's have numbers and stay in formation, they should be able to withstand a assault for a while. One on one and they're fucked.

Viper could absolutely take an Eagle in BFM, no question, especially since the ANG is where you find all the ancient guys with dissimilar experience and maybe even flight hours on the F-15 too. Block 30s have a little bit lighter front end with the big intake so they're probably the best for the job.

All this goes out the window against the Raptor.

I just know the F-15 has over 100 air to air kills and 0 losses in air to air. They are a significant threat if not handled carefully.
