He seems to lean left (since he hated Dinesh D'Souza's anti-Hilary and anti-Obama films, and Kirk Cameron's super-right wing Christian oeuvre), but hasn't gone full blown SJW either.

I got the impression he was going after libertarian-type Reddit bros rather than hardcore extremists. Note Phelan's outfit and only mild defense of Trump at best, and how Linkara's bit is just weak satire about "mansplaining" prevalent in such a community. And Brad very much does skew left, though has gone on record about disliking Outfoxed (an anti-Fox News film), and I could swear he said he didn't like Michael Moore either but I could be wrong. As for the Kirk Cameron/Pureflix oeuvre, that's just low-hanging fruit and capitalizing on this resurgence in "Christ-sploitation".

Agreed about preferring early Film Brain/disliking his newer stuff. Less because of his voice now, and more because he doesn't give a piss about Bad Movie Beatdown anymore and I don't like Projector much. Not that BMB was ever super great, but some of the reviews where the movies seriously disturbed him were surprisingly watchable (e.g. his Seven Pounds review, a favorite of mine).
