There's no infiltration. Christianity in the west is a hollow shell of what it's supposed to be. A large chunk has devolved into moralism and political idolatry. These people don't care about the actual history or theology they just want to be seen as superior.
They think God works in a transactional way like a karma system in a video game where if you do enough good things (or bare minimum, pretend to be good) you'll unlock that stairway to heaven. If you could actually be a "Good" person on your own accord then Jesus wouldn't need to die. Unfortunately the world is broken and that includes it's inhabitants as documented by this website, so if they had actually read the book they're supposed to believe in they'd have seen that big word REPENT and you wouldn't get these repeated headcases who bottle up their issues to keep up a facade, they might actually be compelled to find and get help. You'd think a pastor of all people would be exempt but that thinking is exactly how they get away with no accountability.
