I get the point you're trying to make, but haven't we all learned that polls are bullshit? I live in Missouri and can tell you for a fact Mike Parson is way higher than that and not that many people are undecided in Missouri. Newscom had a recall election set-up on him there's no way he would be that high. It all smells like a typical bullshit poll to me.

Yeah, like whatever happened to Trump supposedly giving away state secrets? Nothing. Then again there's been a whole lot of nothing that has happened. Take for example Menedez. This is at least the 2nd time damning charges of corruption, never mind ethics violations (make of that what you want) with credible evidence has been brought forward against him and yet there he still is. No resignation; no removal from any committee he's currently sitting in (well, that I'm aware of); no public inquiry, nothing.

Fun fact. China doesn't actually produce enough food to sustain itself and relies on US trade to not starve. Literally China's entire economy relies on trade with other nations. I'm not even anti-China, but they have very little to do with the issues America is suffering from which is the result of poor leadership which is what people should be focusing on. Don't believe me? China is not a great power and never will be.
In the 1990s China had a billion little hands willing to work for cheap. They became the factory of the world with their cheap labor.
That labor is no longer cheap. They have urbanized the fastest of anyone in Vietnam.
The children don't want to be factory workers they want to make the jump to tech and white collar work. So now they have a mis match of skills leading to youth unemployment so high they just stopped counting.
They built 2x the amount of apartments as they have population. They made loans to third world countries that denominated in the mighty king dollar.
Their political climate leads to extremes with purges and compition for power among factions
The one child policey has basically murdered thier future.
I ve already seen the money and work flow out of China and to it neighbors like vietnam.
A country that has to import both food and energy has some hard issues add to that poor management and demographic issues China has I don't see no great power happening soon

And what of the US? Is it a self-sustaining Superpower like in the 1980s? No, because America was stupid enough to outsource all its major industries to China. Everything you just said about China applies WAY more to the US. Unlike China, which has a massive shroud of propaganda from everyone and I can't confirm their actual internal affairs, I can do that with the US.

The vast majority of US imports/exports are with Canada and Mexico, not china. the US grows its own food and can drill its own oil.

American is a net exporter of food. We have the shale oil reserves and we don't have terminal demographics that China has.
The north American contenant is basically over powered. It has that largest swath of ariable land with the world's longest river net work that makes transporting that food dirt cheap.
In the 1990s we out sourced off shored low level manufacturing to places like China. Thanks to covid China s shit politics and basically the unwinding of globization alot of that work is being re-shord or near shored

American industry is constantly hampered by environmentalists committing constant lawfare, so factory production has been stagnant since the 1990s. It's why we still have a Rust Belt today instead of calling it a reborn Steel Belt.
America has to prop up its birthrate numbers with constant illegal immigration to cover up the fact American citizens don't want to start families. I wouldn't trust demographics that are made out of Venzueleans, Black people, and Somalians as signs of healthy demographics. America's industries aren't geared towards building things like in the early 20th century, otherwise we'd have a much larger blue-collar workforce than we do. Our industries are focused on financial fuckery and providing overpriced white collar services to each other, which is how America somehow has trouble supplying Ukraine and Israel despite having all the money in the world.
Just because America has lots of resources available doesn't mean the US is capable of using it. It's the fundamental tragedy of the American Empire really.

It is perhaps a shame potentially hundreds of years from now when the zenith of America's power in the aftermath of the Cold War is discussed as history it will be seen as an era of squandered opportunity and inept or greedy leadership. This isn't all guaranteed of course to be fair but it is a possibility.

US manufacturing generates almost 3 trillion in wealth a year and we got these people acting like the whole country's manufacturing is one shoelace factory and it's about to go under or some shit. About 600,000 manufacturing companies and about 1,000 plants that employ at least a thousand workers. It's incredible narrative substitution for reality
