The 2000 troops are a Marine MEU or Marine Expeditionary Unit aboard US Navy amphibious landing ships....aka mini aircraft carriers. More specifically 1 mini aircraft carrier and 2 supporting ships. At all times there at least 2 MEUs deployed either from the West Coast, East Coast, or Japan. The MEUs are designed to go to hot spots (be it humanitarian aid, shit like whats going down now, etc), and handle it for up to 60 days.

The 26th MEU happens to be the only one in the world with an operational Maritime Special Purpose Force. Anything from reinforcing the embassy to capturing an offshore platform would be in their wheelhouse.

Didn't have those when I was in. Was all handled at the MEU SOC level. But looks like was a sub-unit of the meu with the same properties (command element, service support, infantry, and air combat). Looks like they were changed to Maritime Raider Units.
Doing more research it looks like all "current" MEUs have em, and the 26th is the first MEU in a decade to be a MEUSOC. Which fucking blows my mind. And re-reading it looks like it's been the same program all these years just with different name changes. So could be either of the us ones or Japan still. I prolly should know more about it but so much shit changed (and not in a good way) with the Corps, didn't want to get MATI since I'm still a jarhead and won't have to deal with it ever again. I will say the last Commandant was an idiot.

MSPF is what makes it a MEU(SOC). Its basically a FAST company, a Force Recon platoon, the landing team recon platoon and various support units training together. They haven't had a SOC in a decade because MARSOC is undermanned and special operations capable was close enough for Afghanistan deployments

In my day what made a MEU a special operations capable one (we didn't get to use the MEUSOC designation until the end of our workup period and after completing SOC-EX where the MEU was supposed to show proficiency in
- Amphibious raids
- Non-combatant evacuation operations (NEO)
- Security operations
- Tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel (TRAP)
- Direct action
- Humanitarian/civic assistance

Yes, righties should be using inventive means of property destruction to take out lefty monuments via either actual physical destruction or legal maneuvers. Every ugly "look, niggers were sad once, give up your rights" statue, every "dedicated to all the pedophile queers who were told they can't suck toddler dick by TEH MAN" plaque out there, what have you.
But more importantly the second the right can, they should be recreating those statues and making new ones dedicated to righty culture and ideas in every region they have power to do so. Like a statue of a polite police man "dedicated to those who serve our communities" or what have you, placed someplace in public. Statues of Jesus Christ in parks. A statue celebrating Adam Smith's "The Wealth of Nations" on a college campus. That sort of deal.
The obvious trick the left is doing is doing as much long term damage as they can while they have power, with the hopes that when the pendulum swings the other way the overton window will never spring back as far as it was before they did all this. Some of the culture warrior types have openly said as such when they think they're in private, for example some of the faggot trolls at DC comics have said that they need to pivot to making less changes and instead preventing the changes they HAVE made from ever being undone when they lose power soon.
The solution to that is to do the same tricks they're doing against them until they cry foul.

The fucked thing is, EVERYBODY speaks some English. Anywhere in the world you go. Italians and Quebecois pretend they don't, but everyone else in the world, from Malaysia to Poland to Argentina, speak functional English well enough to converse. They might have to ask you to slow down occasionally, or look up an occasional word, but that's it.
And shit, my wife and I spent six months in eastern Europe this year, knowing nothing of the languages, and in that time, we could both function well enough speaking Polish (a very difficult language to pronounce correctly, but not bad to read), Romanian (strangely, if you know French or Italian or Spanish, Romanian isn't that hard, and there's a big Italian diaspora in Romania for that reason), Serbian (and Croatian and Montenegran), German, and a spattering of Turkish and Hungarian. These illegal aliens are either actively refusing to integrate and lying, or are non-functioning retards (or both).

How they will look at reconstruction and insist that the Army should have gone even harder and forcefully destroyed any leftovers of the confederacy and southern culture and institutions.
