Whenever you see complaints about "missing context" in liberal rags, the "context" is not actual context of the person or event, it's the broad excuse they made for their activism, or, in lincoln's case, the post-hoc mythologized version of his accomplishments in broad context.
This is always what "missing context" is whenever politifact defends Biden, for instance, yet reading their explanation of the context never exonerates the damning reality presented, despite politifact "debonking" it

This proves to me you haven't read the Independent article that I posted. It actually agrees with DiLorenzo on some aspects of his views Lincoln. Of course, it falls apart when they look into the faulty sourcing.

First and foremost, a few date discrepancies and other minor and easily-made mix-ups re: legislative houses are irrelevant to the thesis he presented and proved.
(nobody who bitches about McCarthyism cares that McCarthy was a senator and not part of HUAC, for instance)
They can nit-pick all they like but they cannot damage his thesis.

All this proves is he created a mountain of research and in the sifting and presentation process had a few minor slips.
Claiming he's a "bad historian" for that is like claiming Matt Taibbi is a dirty liar because he mixed up "CIS" and "CISA" in a single page of his thousands of pages of reporting on the Censorship Industrial Complex assembled by Biden and the DNC over the past 7 years.

I don't like funding Ukraine at all, but have suggested as much to pry concessions from Biden and the Senate.
