I'm not seeing any actual reports of children being involved, at least with the bowling alley. Things were moving pretty fast last night and today despite the little that happened, event wise I mean, so I can see how speculation was lost in the shuffle and just became fact. A year or two back there was an incident with a heavily-armed psycho wandering around The Galleria, which the press described as "being only a few yards away from where children were performing" (or something to that nature), except if the reports of where he was were correct, he wasn't anywhere near the event. Maybe in that general part of the mall, but it's still a sprawling facility...and I'm not even sure if the event was accessible anyway. (Basically, it's a hotel conference space that opens up into the mall, but more often than not, those doors are closed and off-limits to the general public).

We cannot “do something about it” due to various acts passed by Congress, amendments added to the constitution, and very liberal decisions handed out by the Supreme Court. There was a case like that in Belgium with a much smaller search radius, and it took them a month to find the guy's body. And that was with thousands of Belgian soldiers looking for the guy, because they thought he was an active domestic terrorist with military equipment.

The depressing reality is that they might never find the guy if he just wandered off into the woods in a random direction and then ended his life.
