The animation movie tie in games of the early 2000s were great games. Even if I'm a bit blinded by nostalgia, the Activision dreamworks movie tie in games were really good, the Disney movie tie in games were really good. The ones which come to my mind from childhood are
Toy story 2 buzz lightyear to the rescue for n64 pc ps1 (great collectathon platformer)
Tarzan for the ps1 n64 (great 2d action platformer)
Madagascar for the GameCube ps2 pc (great game with different gameplay for levels, minigames, unlockables and the like)
Ice age 2 the meltdown for the PC ps2 (yes the famous scrat platformer)
Kung fu panda for the pc PS3 (good arcade brawler)
Bee movie the game for PC PS2 (open world game with missions, jobs interactibles)
Sinbad legend of the seven seas for the pc (pretty decent hack n slash action game)
Brother bear for the pc (decent 3d action platformer)
Over the hedge for the pc PS3 (excellent action game with collectathon elements)
Aladdin nasiras revenge for the ps1 pc (great 3d action platformer)
Ive replayed all of them within the past year and they're all legitimately good games, especially considering how boring and grindy modern games are. Too bad all the studios which worked on them were sent to the sweatshops.
