agree but would also caveat that the enduring 'masculine' and 'feminine' roles, across times and cultures, are related to our physical characteristics, which are exactly what troons claim are irrelevant.
so make up=woman, but making babies=don't assume sex. except when they want other people to pay for surgery in which case physical characteristics are powerful enough to make them suicidal.

It really depends on the class of woman and the era and country they were in. Wearing makeup was often thought of as a sin of vanity but it was common enough that theologians wrote about it (e.g. "it's ok if you're doing it to make yourself more attractive to your husband so that he doesn't sin by developing lustful thoughts towards other women" - Thomas Aquinas).
What women actually did to look beautiful would often look fucking weird to our modern standards; lightening the face, weird rouge application and - again depending on era and location - plucking the eyebrows and then plucking the hairline so they got a giant fivehead. Plus women regardless of class would pretty much be wearing hair in braids and under headcoverings because they didn't wash their hair as frequently (and also various historic modesty rules). So a "historically accurate" character might look more like this:
(weirdly raising the hairline and removing the brows somehow made her look less mannish) but either way we're talking about a fantasy world where you can climb a magic beanstalk to battle giant Richard Ayoade because Albion got destroyed by a mad king who climbed a mystical wishing tower to bring down an asteroid and so the main character has to use time travel to un-fuck everything (and Fable III had steampunk robots) so "historically accurate" isn't necessarily what we're dealing with here.

Recently John Hopkins University shown their LGBTQ+ glossary describing lesbians as "non-man attracted to non-men",
after extreme backlash they decided to pull the definition from it.

Most makeup worn by the working class was home made. Blushes, hair dyes and foundation was made with stuff they found around the area, mostly egg whites and dyes from natural plants. You can still find some of these recipes. The higher classes often used lead/mercury, but that did fall out of favor as they began to notice its harmful effects.
Braiding the hair usually signified marital status - braided = married, unbraided unmarried, etc - with the more elaborate styles a symbol of class. They didn't have shampoo, but they did comb their hair and used essential oils. There was a YouTuber who followed a Medieval hair care routine and rather than have a rat's nest, her hair actually looked great.

Pooners joining up to the army to live out their uwu yaoi CoD fantasy and finding out that genuine military gay culture is too gross for them/by definition exclusionary to them, it’s like Paris syndrome but for faggotry (and that’s ignoring the part where they get shipped off to die in a forever war for globohomo).
As for the push for troons to join the military, it’s pretty disturbing because it’s obvious that the system is getting people that will be absolutely loyal to them because they know that if/when SHtF the largely conservative army will likely defect. In this purely hypothetical scenario, I don’t think that the Alphabet soldiers will be able to stand up to Army defectors and Militiamen, but if they can turn a revolution into a civil war then foreign powers are more likely to intervene, and I don’t want to end up a puppet of Russia or China.
That would be one hell of a world, ruled over by Xi Jinpeng because society couldn’t stop enabling faggotry.

You've said everything in my head about such a scenario.
It's always such a trip seeing the alphabet people online hee-and-haw with rage about how eeeeeeevul conservatives are or (X) institution is... and then the moment you get a photo of them it's a pasty fat unhygienic white person, so out of shape they're androgynous and it doesn't matter what their actual sex is. These people can't actually stand up to or for anything with how unfit they are physically AND mentally, and I do maintain some of them are actually aware of that and the good deal they have in society right now, but I'm also convinced even more of them are either dumb or broken enough to be true believers instead of facing reality. And once they're forced to, they WILL go nuts and try to take everything down with them.
They're sucking up time and resources now, in a conflict they'll inevitably waste so much more, and then it's the situation you spoke of - the world vassalized to a new global power, one that'll make everyone wish America was top dog again, since it at least pretended (and hey, some of its citizens really do, I'm in a good mood and say it) to respect human rights and decency versus the totalitarianism many other world powers will much more openly practice without a strong Western power to counter them.
