Honestly, in my views yes and it's a hairy issue but it's going to be so little it's not going to be acted on. It's cheaper easier to write the debts off like the teflon tard always does.

But, Chris is required to file his income, period. Praetor is kinda helping skirt taxes/rules now we'd need an accountant to expand on if he's liable at all. Now if Chris openly said he's wanting Praetor to help him skirt things he's at fault for sure.

But if you pay someone and they don't file, that's on them not you.

I don't take what Praetor says as gospel, so yeah maybe he's dumb enough to let Chris tie him up into some shit. Maybe Chris is just being Chris. But over all I have a feeling the income is going to be both low enough and not steady enough that he's not worth garnishing, yes I'm 99.5% sure he's making enough to file the income and not filing but the IRS is just too fucking busy catching up on COVID PPP scammers and E thots to worry about the tard.

I wouldn't be let down to see Praetor or Chris hit with garnishments for the lulz. But I highly suspect nothing will come from this.
 
How do money and jail even work? Sorry if it's dumb to ask, but it isn't exactly the place I hang around a lot. How can someone even sell something they made in their cell, like drawings or a book? Can they just ask staff "hey, I wrote a story and want to sell it, please give me the phone numbers of some magazines"? And for what do you need money while locked up, I mean they give you what you need for free like food and clothing and because you can't walk to the store or access the internet, there is no way to spend money to buy other stuff. Or do they still use mail order catalogues, just like jails still have payphones?

So, can Chris just send the artworks to that Praetor guy via mail, and how does Chris receive money for them? And what can he do with it while imprisoned?

SSI and government assistance can be garnished on government debts but this appears to be a private debt so you'd br correct on that.. But unless he collects an actual paycheck, he's untouchable. Even if he was commissioned for art and had a contract, he'd be a 1099. They could theoretically file but whoever did it would be an idiot

It's amazing that Chris values his identity above all else, that it spiraled out of control. Stating off with the bear mistakenly replying his name, which lead to the many many name changes soon to come. Now, he's taken the literal son of god's name and added it to his own. To be the person in charge to legally changing names once Chris files the paperwork to add "Sonichu-Jesus" would have quite the lol moment.

A jail will give you basic essentials so you won't die but your stay in jail will be a lot more comfortable if you can buy stuff from the commissary. It generally has stuff like you'd see for sale at a gas station, but Chris bought a few other odds and ends like his prayer rugs and a deck of cards. He plays solitaire on the rugs and also uses them like a blanket. He gets things like ramen and Fanta from the commissary.

People can add money to Chris's commissary account by purchasing money orders and mailing them to the jail. Money orders are kind of like checks, you can get them at banks, supermarkets, post offices, and various other places.

Chris can buy stamps which he uses to mail stuff out.

It's possible to have a commissary account garnished. As an extreme example, Nikolas Cruz looked a little rattled during sentencing when the judge said his commissary account would be used to pay restitution to his victims. That guy's life probably really sucks right now so maybe he shouldn't have shot all those people.

Because you want to eat something that isn't industrial shit? Because you might want books to read? What the fuck? And they have a commissary where you can buy things to make jail abomination recipes like prison pizza. You can also usually buy stuff from Amazon or some approved vendor if they ship it wrapped and sealed (because people will do things like soak pages of a book in LSD or research chemicals).

I doubt there's anything but tard bucks in there and they're not supposed to garnish those, but this Midland Funding operation is one of these scumbag debt collectors that "accidentally" does shit like that all the time and Chris is too dumb to have set up protections on it.

So far we don't actually know one way or the other if he's technically "in state custody." He could just be in a tard home.

If they know that and are going ahead anyway, they're pretty much scum, but this could just be automatic on their part.

They might not know where he is, especially if he never updated the court on it and Barb or whoever collects the mail there hasn't bothered to look at anything Chris gets.
