They could make a separation between private and commercial accounts, with the latter costing a few bucks a month but allowing more options for advertisements similar to what Facebook allows. Considering how many companies use social media, it'd make them quite a bit of money.

Of course, under this pretense using a private account for advertising would be against the rules.

Nowadays, it's much smarter to advertise in 150 characters or less. Attention spans aren't what they used to be.

For me, I think the character limit killed ad prospects for Twitter. If I had a product to sell, I'd rather talk about it in full sentences than trying to shoehorn it into 150 characters and be forced to use abbreviations that may not be understood by a huge swath of the audience. Running a promotion that needs multiple steps and a couple of hyperlinks to complete? Twitter will force you to chop those into multi-tweet blasts. Not really appealing.

Circling it back to Wu, it's good that her backchannels got re-shuffled elsewhere. She's probably spending a lot of time trying to find one in recent days.

They might have trouble if they start introducing paid (or more paid,i don't know if they do any yet) features now, because they'd either a) be adding stuff that people don't need, so wouldn't be bothered buying
Or b) be cutting into what people already can do until they pay for it, which would be suicide, business wise

Academia is about research, methodology and critical thinking, something only a qualified academic can guarantee they have experience of to teach with.

Of course a man who constantly lies about his academic qualifications would have no problem with an unqualified person lecturing a university course.

Word to this advanced patents read denser than a PhD thesis in the sciences. In order to file one you have to be able to decipher dozens or hundreds of them. Mad respect to frank for being super smart.

I am neither of those thing (although female), and I know about the allegations of his ex-wife, so Frank would be a non-starter in any case for me. But if you didn't know about that, maybe he is charming in person? He seems smart and like he could hold up his end of a conversation. He also seems like he has a sense of humor/ sense of the ridiculous. I don't think he is very attractive physically, though, and his hair never looks clean either. Maybe he has a good personality.

I agree I am mystified about what he sees in Brianna, as she comes across as arrogant and humorless. Not to mention being a huge leech.
