Ralph and May had no opportunity to settle their argument before they got separated. Woman interrupted them mid fight, they were escorted out, and then separated. That's when Ralph thought May fled (LOL) went into a bar and tweeted about Morris whore and upcoming revenge porn. He didn't explain why he had a long conversation with her mother either.

How they settled it (if they indeed did) I've no clue but I have some funny ideas, too many to start listing them all. Now, he's plopping out a third spawn for the express purpose of spiting the father of his current wife AND his current wife herself, saddling her with a second child for daring to try and escape his grasp.

There's no doubt this child was the product of marital rape. He has Meigh trapped in Rome, completely at his mercy with no other vectors of escape. Ralph also probably knows that his time is up by the end of this year, so instead of trying to make the most out of the hole he's dug himself into, he's actively trying to worsen everything around him before he's gone.
