Alright, so as we know Phil often likes to act tough and post stuff regarding weapons and military stuff, things he's interested in, but not very knowledgeable about. This forum has a lot of people who are much more knowledgeable about said topics than him, so Phil posting a one-off line about a gun or a military topic can cause a lot of detailed discussion about said topic and how Phil is wrong / doesn't qualify for weapon ownership so in case the discussion goes vastly off-topic, the excess can be offloaded here in case it's Phil-relevant but not necessarily relevant to a particular update.

i dunno he keeps wanting to purchase machine guns but obviously he'd not be knowledgeable as to which shells to use in the clips so i'd say phil is the poster child for why we absolutely need more harsher gun control laws

It's unfair to judge responsible gun owners like me by comparing them to somebody like Phil, the guy at the gun store will tell you which shells to use and what modkits are applicable to your gun if you just ask nicely. They actually write down the size of shells on the lower receiver on machine guns so you can always just look at that.

I never could quite gauge if Phil was truly one of those eastern bloc obsessed spergs similar to the guy that shot those two police officers in Pennsylvania. I get that Phil likes the ragtag proletariat conscript look of a lot of those Slavic armies, but going through a lot of his devianTart shit in my research for the Australatina Lolcow Wiki article, he seems to cite a mixture of NATO and Eastern Bloc weaponry, notably the FN FAL, M16A2, and some Heckler & Koch guns (Though maybe Phil might have thought that H&K was Easter German at some point, but in truth the company was unable to secure government funding due to the political climate at the time and ended up getting sold to British Aerospace's Royal Ordnance).

Anyway, it just seems kind of off for Phil, given how obsessive and autistic he is.

Yugoslavia is famous for this but reason is no chrome to use. So it wasn't on account of being cheap or lazy just lacked chromiun deposits to use. Also Yugos put rifle grenades launchers on everything.
