BBC News appears to have been taken by surprise by a guest who used his appearance to call for a suspension on mRNA Covid-19 vaccines.

There's something else I've thought of and that's that if they really were independent thinkers as they pride themselves on being, you'd expect they'd have much more diverse views, instead of pretty much having an orthodoxy of their own. Almost as if they actually aren't independent thinkers, had their own trusted media outlets they refer to, have their own experts they trust and so on.

This only applies if you are have zero understanding of science and how scientific discovery works. A better question would be why are there powers out there sowing seeds of distrust around our scientists and scientific processes? Part of discovery in science is admitting when you’re wrong and moving forward. It’s assholes who won’t do it (like the anti-vax autism Dr) who are only here to push an agenda.
