If you took your picture and removed the legs from the 4 on the left, and then showed a walking human, it would be closer to what I'm suggesting. The furin cleavage site didn't exist at all until Sars-Cov-2. It's like if no other coronavirus had "legs" and the suddenly Sars-Cov-2 shows up with legs. Where did it get the legs? They were probably stapled on at the local lab. The ancestral humans all have legs in that picture, and slowly over time they evolved to use them.

They do walk around on two legs periodically.

Well, yes. But that's what we would see if we didn't invent archaeology and took a look at all the apes of the world right now. But we did invent archaeology and find specimens, the same cannot be said for COVID, I highly doubt we have a scientific record of every virus that's existed. What I'm saying is that we probably would find something like this happening if we somehow managed to find every virus that ever existed, we'd see a lineage of viruses in some cave in China slowly developing something similar to the furin cleavage site.

But instead you go into some God of the Gaps type argument, so now you'll have to also explain how (and why) this modified coronavirus got out of the lab, and maybe even why it was invented.

I think this is part of what makes you such a fine upstanding human being, someone we can all look to when times are tough. A true guidestone of humanity in troubling times. An inspiration, if you will.

As we look to you for guidance, should we take this to mean that you will continue wearing your mask now that you are no longer sick? Also, any advice you can provide on correct mask type and usage would be invaluable.

I see no issue with wearing when you know you are actually sick with a transmissible by air disease. I know few people who are against the years of bullshit that would actually fight someone choosing for themselves here. But that's not how it worked for two years, is it? That's still not how it's been working in many areas. And again, there was little moderation on what kind of masks were forced for a long time which meant people pointlessly wearing a piece of actual cloth or thin polyester over their face that did fuck all if they were actually sick. You guys may have your circlejerk for two seconds, but your glaring ignorance will never go away.

1. Where do they still require you to wear masks?
2. Why do you honestly give a shit if a person around you is wearing a mask? How does it effect you personally?

You skipped over the question though. You wore a mask while you were sick, and that is what we love most about you. Not just wearing it, but embracing the idea that this makes you an AMAZING person (much like Desmond). But now that you're not sick are you still wearing one? You're really leaving us in suspense here. COVID Is coming and many of us need guidance.

There are guidelines of which type of masks offer the most (or least) protection. Generally, masks help protect droplets from spreading in the air. This helps if you're sick.
