🦊 Furry Financial Furry Fuck-Ups - When Funds & Furries Don't Mix

Well, there's also the wet wipes for diaper changes, baby powder and baby oil to help prevent diaper rashes, creams and ointments to treat diaper rashes, duct tape to help secure the diapers when the tapes give out, diaper disposal bags, and that's not even getting into the other accessories like pacifiers, bottles, onesies, stuffed animals, etc. Once you start factoring in adult baby furniture, attending conventions, traveling to meet other diaperfurs, you're breaking 5 or 6 figures easily.

There's a bit of a meme in the community that everyone is an IT tech guru who earns big bucks, but it's more that those people have more money to play with and flaunt it widely.
It's always the IT people that have the weirdest fetishs and most insufferable of politics.

gee, its almost like theres some kinda mental disability that makes odd people both prone to high intellect and interested in very technical hobbies, while also being susceptible to odd, degenerate lifestyles...
On the other hand, there is a clear financial opportunity to be had....
IDK, most of today's economy seems based on convincing people to spend *their* money on *your* product. If there's a subset of people who seem to have a proclivity toward throwing money at the dumbest things, it seems obvious to try and get in their line of fire, so to speak. They're already going to spend that money; why not try and get some of that for yourself?

It's always the IT people that have the weirdest fetishs and most insufferable of politics.
That doesn't surprise me. When you're a socially awkward loser who spends 24/7 in front of a computer there's a damn high chance you're gonna end up developing weird interests and not understand what life is like for the world outside your little bubble.

Is she serious???

Pages and pages and pages worth of commissions.

Some of them look actually pretty high quality, too. Must cost a lot...

But somehow, I feel like this person shouldn't be spending so much on picture of dog dickery.

Also bonus because these ones made me giggle

oh my god I think I've seen this guy around talking about how he loves penis cock and balls and sheaths before, the Grandma's Coconut Water thing is hilarious. The "Manokit" question is funny because Manokit is one of those "made for fursuit" species much like Dutch Angel Dragons where the community would burn you at the stake for even thinking about commissioning even suggestive art.

He seems pretty funny, there's a few hidden comments on the begging journals that I wish we could see, but hey. There seems to be at least one guy who told him "You should work on your priorities", I'm surprised there aren't more.

There's so much art that gets uploaded with the time these journals overlap that I'm guessing he's just using the coconut money as dognut money. The constant uber rides just to get to work and groceries sounds a bit counterproductive if money is an issue.

Sorry, double post from lagging real bad. (:_(

Seems this money problems go so far back it ends up affecting others who got commissions with him, too.
It reads as thought he was spending so fast that he didn't realize he ran out of funds, which is a big big red flag for people who are just shit with budgeting.

Don't worry, she'll probably give it up within a year.
"Worry" is a strong term.
I'm just curious how a person who regularly cries about not being able to cover rent, utilities, or their car payments thinks nothing of posting how they are dropping money on things like DoorDash-

-while still publicly on the hook for refunding a bunch of people you owe art to. Way to show your ass daily about how you got the money to refund people, but fuck my customers, apparently.

Anybody know how much testosterone poisoning costs? I only have a surface understanding of the costs, and it sounds expensive to turn yourself into a lifelong medical patient like this.
it doesnt sound to me like shes considering going full blown trains, if thats your concern
testosterone is a necessary hormone in both men and women, and a deficiency in it IS a medical risk in and of itself

is that what's being discussed here? because her wording seems vague, but the way she describes it seems more like shes considering it as a supplement, than proper HRT

Doesn't sound like a deficiency. Check out that second screenshot.

The pertinent tweet:

Yeah, sounds like she's using it as a diet supplement.

Again, the point is her not being able to afford rent:

Yet can afford to spend money on personal trainers and T-treatments? All while owing refunds to people because you never did the art you took money for? Tell me you don't know how to manage your money without telling me you do not know how to manage your money.

she openly tweets about every financial struggle, eviction, etc etc and gets mad when someone tells her to stop renting above her means? :story:

i know vani still owes a lot of refunds back when she was on furaffinity and kept pulling a starfinder and ran off with peoples money.

I'm assuming this is in response to this tweet (Archived) because a shitload of artists (furry or otherwise) and others jumped on it while completely missing the point that commission prices are subject to the free market just like anything else. At this point, furry smut artists are a dime a dozen so if people don't think your art is worth what you're charging then they won't buy it, simple as. Nobody is demanding you lower your prices, but if nobody is buying your shit then maybe you should consider a different approach rather than blaming the commissioners.

But also like if furry art is your sole source of income and it's not paying your bills then that might also be a problem, but as far as Twitter is concerned, artists can never do wrong.

Kinda funny how many furfags don't understand basic economics.

"Haha, I'll charge you my living wages."
"Okay bro I'll just go somewhere else."
"NOOOOoooooo not like that!!!!"

"i do whatever i damn well please with my work" is a good ground to stand

now lets see every single artfags opinion about how OTHER people should price their work....
boy, the amount of times i was told "youre charging too little and that hurts ME" is astounding
people are ultimately going to pay whatever they see fit for your work, output, skill level and demand- if you make trash and expect to be able to just force the market to bend to your will, i have to command your hypercapitalist mindset, but mock your stupidity

get the fuck off my lawn and away from my lemonade stand! THIS IS AMERICA!

Given that the economy is shit right now, and people are paying more for essentials, I wonder how much demand for fur art has declined...
Not the customer's fault they can't pay you to draw their sparkle[species] because they need to pay for food and rent, too.
