Enough that I have noticed an uptick of artists desperately trying to shill their YCH more.Given that the economy is shit right now, and people are paying more for essentials, I wonder how much demand for fur art has declined...
Not the customer's fault they can't pay you to draw their sparkle[species] because they need to pay for food and rent, too.
Better start looking for a backup career. Nothing wrong with making a living as an artist, but if you ain't making a living...well, I got some bad news for you sport...Enough that I have noticed an uptick of artists desperately trying to shill their YCH more.
And slots that are normally sold out in minutes now taking days to fill.
Isn't this part of why Miles-DF is ridiculously successful, even by furry standards? I heard somewhere he's Russian, lives in Russia. So in addition to his shit going for around 1,000 USD, that money goes a LOT farther in Mother Russia.I'll pay furry artists a living wage.
A living wage for the bumfuck part of Russia they live in. Furry artists need to realize globalization has come for them.
If I recall correctly, rent is ridiculously cheap in Russia, and this fact was prevalent even before the Russia-Ukraine war started.Isn't this part of why Miles-DF is ridiculously successful, even by furry standards? This is totally true, but he makes bank even by US standards, so it doesn't really explain it.Isn't this part of why Miles-DF is ridiculously successful, even by furry standards? I guess I personally see him as doubly successful:This is totally true, but he makes bank even by US standards, so it doesn't really explain it.
There's also been a ton of bitching from fursuit makers about how nobody's buying their premades.Enough that I have noticed an uptick of artists desperately trying to shill their YCH more.

Miles-DF is a strange creature. By his own accounts (at least, a few years back when I heard it), he hates drawing furry characters. Apparently, the ridiculous price he charged was simply to try and limit demand on him. That was when he was actually doing commissions, mind. Now, he gets to let gullible furfags pay him what they want via auctions. Given that these auctions run up to five figures regularly, I say he definitely hit the jackpot in the perfect storm of name recognition (by furries), and a ready pool of suckers willing to hand over cash for jpgs. This is totally true, but he makes bank even by US standards, so it doesn't really explain it.
That's not true, he enjoys drawing furry shit. His own personal art has been furry art for all of this time with no humans. He's been doing it for over a decade. It's after he started doing drugs that his art quality started going down.Miles-DF is a strange creature. I didn't see that part!you forgot the best part. apparently she 'accidentally' transferred her funds incorrectly which caused square to eat almost $800 in fees.

i'm not sure what she had prior to the transfer but squares transfer fee is 1.5% of the total amount so i can't see how it would equal that much unless she had a large lump sum, i'm not a math kiwi so i can't really speculate.
edit: disregard i am a retard. she originally transferred over 1k
This makes sense tbh, premades cater to a relatively small market of furries that have A. enough spare cash to afford one, B. no character they in particular want to commission a custom piece for, C. are able to "connect" to a design someone else made (even if the design itself is decent on it's own). There's also been a ton of bitching from fursuit makers about how nobody's buying their premades.
youd think this would actually make quite a large portion of furries, seeing as they love things like adopts and seem to very strongly connect to nothing more than a designare able to "connect" to a design someone else made
well yknow what?Bit of a "Trust me bro" moment, but I saw a furry artist who was bitching and moaning about not being able to afford rent and such, that they needed commissions and going on a rant about how they were pissed off about other artists "Stealing the market" (I guess). Well when pressed on it all they let slip they had moved into the apartment promising themselves and the owner that "Within 6 months I'll be a popufur artist!!!" .... Without even having more than a handful of paid commissions under their belt beforehand. Obviously they got ripped apart in the chat by myself and other furries on how retarded that notion is and that just magically expecting to get commissions is ridiculous, especially enough to cover yourself fully. It's like those lolcows who see famous Youtubers "Living the life" and somehow believe they can do the same on their channel with bad videos and 50 subs/2views.
A PayPal loan for Christmas Gifts is rather concerning.Ver archivo adjunto 5051939
A PayPal loan for Xmas gifts?
Why would you want to share this with people?
Yep, childless...unless you count the "fur babies".A PayPal loan for Christmas Gifts is rather concerning.
Don't get me wrong, if you have a kid - I can understand that. It's not the best financial move BUT parents often try to give their kids what they could never have. But I imagine the cow of your ire is childless, is that right?
The public sharing of frivolous debts is a very grifty thing to do, absolutely cringe-worthy and why I like this thread![]()
