Billie really has no shame if he thinks he can just lie about being kicked out and forced to live as vagabond. It's like the guy is now just going down a checklist of tranny abuse tropes and decided decrying his parents was next.

Here's the thing, though. This is going to veer into some gender studies bullshit territory, so I apologize in advance.

Being "socialized male" does actually mean something. For whatever reason, men tend to dominate mixed-gender discussions more than women. Multiple studies have been done on this phenomenon. Men expect to be heard out more in discussions than women and, even without realizing it, may spend more time talking than women in the same room. Now, this is again not a conscious thing on behalf of dudes, who quite likely have no idea that they're doing it, nor is it a hard and fast rule. But it is something that happens a lot to the point where social scientists know that it's a thing.

Transwomen were treated as men before their transitions. Living as men, they were encouraged, in subtle ways, that their voices deserve to be heard and that they are entitled to be heard. Transmen, who were raised as women, were likely to have the same subtle messages telling them to shut up and let the men do the talking. I don't think it's any coincidence that transwomen tend to dominate discussions of transgender issues to the point where some people aren't even aware that transmen even exist. Transmen will find themselves demonized for having "male privilege" (despite being perceived as female pre-transition) and called transmisogynists or truscum while transwomen are held up as peons of the community capable of doing no wrong. Transwomen are having that socialization they learned as men ("what you have to say is very important and everybody should listen to you no matter what crazy bullshit you say") reinforced. I suspect that transwomen probably don't pick up on that unconscious bias towards listening to men over women until they pass well enough that nobody would even suspect them of being trans.

A lot of people like Sophie like to downplay the socialization aspect because of the uncomfortable implication that even as women, they're benefiting from a kind of male privilege. That even as women, they still have the entitlement that many men feel they have. They want to plug their ears and pretend it's not a thing, but if I've learned anything from watching the transgender community, I'd have to say it is very much a thing. Sophie LaBelle is this phenomenon incarnate.

So of course she wants to pretend it's not a thing so that she can continue being the most oppressed ever.

That explains why a lot of the transgendered lolcows on here are male to female over female to male.

I think a simpler explanation is that since men are more likely to be pompous jackasses who love to hear themselves talk than women, then a transwoman who's a lolcow is likely to have previously lived her life as one of those very dudes.

That would explain both Sophie and Wu really damn well. You should post that information in Wu's thread too.

Of course, it's pretty well established already that John Walker Flynt was a racist, sexist douchebro, just like he is now, before chopping off his dick.

In other words, once a spoiled brat, always a spoiled brat? Explains Sophie perfectly!

So let me get this straight: LaBill is lying about his parents and shelters kicking him out to score oppression points? Are we getting into Phil territory?

Edit: he took down the poster, announces his need of self care, and puts up another e-begging post.

Translation: I got called out on bullshit I said by too many people and those people had too much support :( So I'm going to magically erase that poster from the interwebs and then re-make in a better way but in a way that's still condescending. Now I'm going to whine like a 14 year old and look pathetic so no one will call me out again :( Plz send cute animal pics.

No Labelle, you were socialized as a MAN; your parents, teachers, friends (opps forgot you didn't have any) treated you as a boy and expected boyish behaviors from you.

And you did not start "transitioning quite early in life": depending on the version of your story you didn't realize you were a tranny until you were 12 or 14.

Genuine male children are affected by the messages society sends about women; genuine female children are likewise affected by the messages society sends about men.

And guess what? They don't become trannies.

>truscum make me sad

People who think that you can choose to be transexual make me sad. But I guess I'm just an evil bigot so you don't care.

While this poster is better... and do correct me, if I am wrong with what I say now... but I never, ever, ever, heard people denying services to a person, because they were socialized as the opposite gender. I have heard it because they actually, genetically are the other gender, which is always a dick move, but never because of socialization.

Also, Meowthkip, that text was very, very informative. Good one, because I never thought about things like that, but I can totally see how it's true.

I honestly think she doesn't know what "being socialized as a gender" means.
