Are there different societal norms for men and women though? I mean it's not like both sexes are segregated.
Sophie ascribes to the Brianna Wu style of feminism, in that everything is cis white dudebros's fault and women are constantly kept out of every single type of business and hold no power whatsoever. All hail the vagina! The gun is good! The penis is evil!

Seems like Labellend's parents kicked her out when they realised they had a crazy SJW for a child and she ate from rubbish bins. No sane person would admit to that, even if pushed.

I would take that as a very tragic and serious story... if it weren't Guillaume Labelle.

As such, it absolutely reeks of trying to score victim points. I really would want to give the benefit of the doubt, but all of Labelle's FB responses to well-meaning people have been monstrous. So... yeah. Fuck him.

Billy doesn't even know what the difference between boys and girls is, accourding to his very own comics. Because nothing is male or female ever, aside from the word and people saying that word. In Billy world, gender is a meaningless term that can be used whenever you happen to "feel" like a "boy" or a "girl".

So I think, any point he has to make about it is a stupid point. But I can try to take it apart anyway.

"If you identify as woman, then you were socialized as female."
I wouldn't say that is true. You get certain things told, but you are only told how a female acts or should act and how they should look. Same with boys. But there are just as much "femme" boys as there are "masculine" girls. And they still identify perfectly fine as what they are. One has little to nothing to do with the other in the long run.

"The way trans women look when they are children doesn't keep them from being affected by the messages society sends about women."
Why only women, actually? Doesn't this count for males too? Anyhow, I guess I can agree on this, but I will point out that Billy himself says often enough, that you can not tell gender by looking at a person, so saying "how they look" is stupid. The problem he can not use any other term for this however, is because he does not know what gender actually is made up of.

"Even when we're perceived as another gender than the one we actually are, we still internalize the messages about femininity and girlhood."

Aaaand if that were true, you'd know you are actually a male. Because femininity is usually connected to.. oh, I dunno.. . vaginas? Boobs? Having babies? Being able to become pregnant? Making sandwiches?

No Labelle, you were socialized as a MAN; your parents, teachers, friends (opps forgot you didn't have any) treated you as a boy and expected boyish behaviors from you.

And you did not start "transitioning quite early in life": depending on the version of your story you didn't realize you were a tranny until you were 12 or 14.

the way trans women look when they are children doesn't keep them from being affected by the messages society sends about women
Genuine male children are affected by the messages society sends about women; genuine female children are likewise affected by the messages society sends about men.

And guess what? They don't become trannies.

Edit: he took down the poster, announces his need of self care, and puts up another e-begging post.

Wait. Why don't you joke around with them and make them see you're human!

"Boo hoo hoo people hate me because I don't make any fucking sense, please send me animal pictures so I can deal with my problems like I'm 12 rather than acting like an adult for a change"

Apologies if someone already posted this but it has to be brought to attention either way.

"Yeah as a fellow Quebecer (which the author is as well), she is extremely detrimental and toxic to the tranny community up here.

She is a self-proclaimed "voice" of the tranny community and this is just awful.

YOu're definitely right about her not taking criticism well. She doesn't take ANY.

She's like Tumblr... in real life. I'm part of the tranny community and lets just say actions she took (and her mislead followers) directly impacted in fracturing partnerships between tranny and lgbt communities and associations."

"tl;dr The support group she's defending is a toxic shithole where being non-binary, non-op, self-medding, on informed consent, having been a sex worker, etc are bad things. They want tranny youth so long as the tranny youth shut the fuck up and remember their place.

It's been like that for fucking ever. They call tranny women who don't fit their narrow, fucked up views transphobic slurs like "shemales" or "travelos" (rude french for transvestite/crossdresser), they were doing it already when I left for good years ago. Back before the 00s, they barely acknowledged tranny men and didn't take tranny women who weren't straight enough."

Where's the "all the nay sayers are ignorant cis oppresors" now Labelle?

FYI, the second quote is someone against the group the person in the first quote was defending and saying Stophie was ruining.

When the fuck was this liar on the streets as a teenager? Hasn't this lying sack of shit previously posted about having supportive parents?

When did this fucking David Copperfield bullshit happen?

Cool wall of text, Sophie. Nothing about that is unique to transpeople. What's your point?

Edit: This only makes sense if you assume people organize their identity around their gender, which only wackos like Labelle do. You're so obsessed with the notion of "being tran.s" that you're failing to have any personality or interests outside of it.

I should have said in the original post, that whilst this poster makes MORE sense, that cis people can also feel uncomfortable being asked or forced to do things that aren't particularly masculine or feminine.

You must be mistaken, cis people can only feel revulsion and fear toward transpeople and nothing else.
