It’s like there’s consequences for having an unlicensed driver drive then total her car. She’s damn lucky Joh did not hit anybody or it’d be even worse.

I'm wondering how sge got SSDI in the first place. SSDI and SSI are extremely difficult for the actual deserving person to get. It makes me wonder if she really did get it for being as retarded as she is, and she passes it off as 'muh fibro'

Most people found disabled at a young age that receive tugboat usually get SSI. I know Chris Chan got SSDI despite working for less than a month of his entire life, but I don’t know how Bob got that to happen. I am very curious what got her SSDI. I’m shocked she even had the credits to begin with. She probably worked the absolute bare minimum then filed.

Well, this dumb ass had to look up what exactly is meant by a rescinded policy because I've never seen that before. It means a valid policy never existed & that being the case, any premiums paid have to be returned. Oh yeah, reason has to be given in writing in the rescission notice... fraudulent applications information is the only thing I've found.

Begs the question - I didn't pay attention when I first read her thread. Did she have any other claims on that policy? If so, I would imagine she has to pay that back.

That being said, if there were no claims & her premium payments were refunded, then she has the money for her power bill! Silver linings & all that, Polissa; silver linings.

I can absolutely see her retarded ass mentioning Joh driving. The police blotter also had the cop getting the dispatcher to confirm Josh was unlicensed. So even if she took this to court, the prosecutor would have more than enough evidence in favor of the insurance company. However, retard she is, I can absolutely see Polissa begging for lawyer fees.

Another possibility is that in order to have her policy underwritten at any price, she had to sign a statement saying Josh would never under ANY circumstances drive the car and since she did let him drive it voids the whole gd thing.

That isn’t something you always have to do when you have an unlicensed driver in the house, but it IS something that comes up if said person has been caught/ticketed/had other accidents without a license in the past.

When an insurance policy is canceled (for reasons other than non-payment of a premium), there is a specified cancellation date, and the customer will get back any premiums they paid that covered the period after the cancellation date. I know somebody whose homeowner's and auto insurance got cancelled because he'd had a judgment against him and a lien placed on his house after he renewed the policy, and it was caught on a credit check (because insurance companies can and will do such checks).

When an insurance policy is rescinded, it's as if the policy never existed in the first place, and the customer will be refunded all premiums paid on it. So Polissa's going to get a sizeable check, which should be just enough to get her moved into the trailer. I can't remember how long she had the car, but it wasn't more than a year or two, so it's not going to be more than $5000, which she will blow through in no time flat.

Here's where it gets really ugly: rescinding a policy happens when the insured committed some sort of proveable deception at the time they applied for an insurance policy. There is certain information the insurance company wants from the customer in order to calculate their risk. If you apply for insurance, you agree to disclose all pertinent information, and if you lie about it—either by making false statements, or lies of omission—you have knowingly entered into that contract under false pretenses, and therefore the insurance company has the right to nullify it.

Polissa probably applied for insurance for herself, as the sole driver of the car. It's possible her insurance company required including Josh, as her spouse, on the policy, because he's a member of her household who is of driving age, regardless of being unlicensed (some companies do this). But it's possible she didn't include him at all.

Alternately, she included him (which is why he got a learner's permit), but renewed the policy after his previous traffic violation that ended up in court (for which he may or may not have paid the fine or lost his learner's permit), and never told her insurance company about it. So, as part of the claims process in the aftermath of Josh's accident, the insurance company looked into his driving record, discovered the unreported violation, and said, "Oh, hell no." They agreed to sell her insurance under a specific set of conditions; she didn't tell them that the conditions had changed before renewing the contract; therefore the contract was void. RESCINDED, BITCH.

If having a policy cancelled makes getting a new one expensive and difficult, having one rescinded will be enough to shut her out of finding any auto insurance altogether—she just won't be able to afford it. And forget Josh; he's never even had a driver's license, and has had one significant moving violation and one accident in less than 18 months. Even if he gets his license, nobody's insuring his scrawny, flabby ass, except at a very high price.

Honestly, the smartest thing Polissa could have done following that accident would have been to not file a claim at all, because it was obvious to anybody watching that her insurance company was going to deny it, and cancel her policy. She should have called her insurance company, told them that her car had broken down, she couldn't afford to fix or replace it because she's on disability, and that she wanted to cancel her policy because she didn't need it any more.

And she should spend some of her forthcoming insurance refund on divorcing Josh, because as her spouse he will be a major hindrance to her getting any insurance at all in the future. It will be hard enough on her own, but being married to him will pretty much guarantee she remains uninsurable.

Before she locked her FB, I remember her saying the first time her step-father abused her was by neglecting her for hours when she was only 9 months old.

The fact Robin was already dating the step-father when Polissa was THAT young makes me think she must either have been single or having trouble with bio-dad during her pregnancy. She was also only 20 years old, which means she was probably 19 when she got pregnant.
