Yes, they are as offensive if not as dangerous. They are mainly borderlines/histrionic personality disorder. And they are on the front lines of destroying discourse. They are also on the front lines of destroying women's spaces, by, like Gavin Grimm, forcing their way into single space sexes. Also, we all have rights to privacy/dignity. There was some guy at some college in California who was using the locker room, when a woman LARPing as a man came into the showers. He complained to the college that he didn't want to shower with a woman he didn't want to shower with, and HE got in trouble. He, too, has the right to not be forced to shower with a mentally ill member of the opposite sex forcing herself into his spaces.
And if we accept that women can go into men's locker rooms because they claim to be men, we have lost part of our battle to maintain single-space sexes. We have allowed that someone LARPing as something is the thing itself.
Also, I've known a half-dozen women who believed they were men, and they were uniformly batshit crazy, abusive, and just plain MEAN. Nasty motherfuckers.
Women getting into male-dominated hobbies is actually great. Tomboy are some of the most fun women to be around. Too bad the Troon agenda is trying to exterminate them.
But as for FtMs trying to BE men and get into male stuff, it comes across as more sad than anything else. It's not like the MtF Autogynophilia shit. FtMs I've seen don't usually get off to imagining themselves as men. They just want to BE men.
Someone or something damaged these women to the point that they can't feel secure in their own gender. A lot of it is the Troon indoctrination of "If you like manly things, you should transition ASAP!", but not all of it.
Maybe they had menstrual problems so bad they envied men not having them. Maybe they couldn't take the intricate female social order, with it's layers of confusing nuances, and wanted a more simple, male social order.
Either way, it's sad. However, if/when they overstep their boundaries and try to butt into legit male-bonding stuff, men seem to have an advantage: we tell them to fuck off and their female conditioning usually (Correctly) knows it's a good idea.
If they keep trying to butt in, they're going to get actively ignored, made fun of, shunned, and physically avoided, like guys do to other guys they can't stand. Nost FtMs can't handle that and would have a nervous breakdown.
MtFs usually have the opposite, where women are too timid to tell them to fuck off and they'll gleefully ignore all of the subtle, passive-aggressive, female ways of trying to get them to leave.
Only TERFs and some lesbians tend to realize this and treat them like a male by directly telling them to fuck off.
