Nonbinary is a trans identity, fwiw. Same with genderfluid and genderqueer. Also transfem and transmasc if you ever see those, which aren't necessarily synonymous with transwoman and transman, respectively. Agender as well. Yeah, it's dumb and complicated. A bit out of nowhere but to the guys in this thread, do you feel bothered about TIFs treating being male like it's an identity like how it bothers us? Like how they're basically invalidating your entire upbringing and socialization experiences as men and saying that they can relate to your experiences when they absolutely can not. I wouldn't say I'm bothered by it, though I do find it absurd how we're supposed to just ignore the elements that obviously point to these "men" really being women (especially their voices, which are effeminate as all get-out). The trans-men I've met range from pitiful to benign, as I do find it sad how they try and adopt an identity they'll never possess fully. Their being women has a lot to do with why I pity them, I think. On the whole, trans-women do more of a disservice to men than trans-men, due to their rather predatory nature. Trans-men are just pathetic and sad, more often than not.

Not a dude, but I'd argue there is quite a difference in how TIF/Real Man interactions play out as opposed to TIM/Real Woman. Male friendship and group dynamics are built around a currency of mutual respect and shared interests.
