Saw this on a 4chan thread and it reminded me of how consistently Phil's begging extravaganza takeout is consistently late/cold when it gets to him

Apparently around 50-60% of people stiff the drivers for ANY tip because of the delivery fees and taxes. So in turn dashers just ignore most orders that have no gratuity until one that at least has $2-3 extra is on the docket because they are making something ridiculous like 2 dollars an hour after wear and tear/gas for the car. Resulting in fun situations like this at restaurants;

I'm betting Phil's multiple a week orders are usually sitting in piles like this

i think the tip honor system of doordash means the company is just not long term reliable.
the price of food is increasing, making doordash even more expensive than it already is, plus the price of gas is increasing, meaning driving doordash isn't as cost effective. causing people who order to be less likely to tip. combine all that and doordash market is going to decrease.

To be fair I forget about my bills all the time but that's because they're automatic deductions and I tend to have way more than enough to pay them. Only one I care about is my mortgage but that's because I bother my roommate for their share of it.
