He thinks he found something we'll tear into each other over, but over-estimates how much we enjoy calling each other names, and thoroughly misunderstands WHY Super Faggot is a faggot. Some may feel some type of way about so-and-so making some cash off of Old Grumplestiltskin, but it's on a whole other level when some former mod leaks a bit of stuff and you decide to paywall it, and without even knowing you'll be able to deliver on the rest. Not to mention the ego Super Faggot has. He's an exception, because he's like the pigroach.

That, and Late-To-Get-SuperThanks is constantly pissed off about detractors often doing better than him if you take away troll donations, people who watch him raw instead of the restreams, and the tips that retards give him.

First of all, literally every major detractor that started making content exclusively DSP related as made more money expanding to other people and topics. Its A Gundam, Memology....

Phil, you're a welcome mat. Then when these content creators finally go through the door, yeah they still talk about the welcome mat occasionally, but you're small peanuts.

Precisely, Phil himself even says that he's relatively speaking a small guy on Youtube. And yeah, I know that he alternates calling himself a small fish and a big swinging dick depending on what narrative he has to craft in a particular rant. There's a ceiling many new detractors reach pretty quickly of like 5-8k views for every video, a ceiling which used to be higher a few years ago and it used to be significantly higher several years ago. TIHYDPs would get guaranteed tens of thousands of views way back in the day, some would get over 100k. The SoK would get tens of thousands of views on their Let's Endures for fuck's sake, Tevin would also get tens of thousands of views while watching certain big streams, like whenever Khet was on stream or the Jasper reveal. Those numbers just aren't possible today unless it's a massive event like when Phil lost his partnership.

If he was in any way honest with himself he'd know that there is no real money in detracting Phil anymore, as his relevance wanes so does the relevance of detractor channels. Any troll whose main motivation is just making money and not laughing at Phil would switch to some other lolcow, even switching to trolling Wings would give you a significant boost in view numbers, laughing at politicows like Baked Alaska, Nick Fuentes, Vaush, Hasan etc. would put even more eyes on your videos, while the most successful people creating troll videos are ones who do long-form videos on a wide variety of lolcows, let's use Phil's pigcabulary and call them "variety trolls."

DSP explicitly states that the only reason that detractors do what they do is to make money, when both An1337 and I literally offer no ways for viewers to give us money.

I'm not surprised An is irritated by this because not only is he not monetized on purpose (he can probably pull good money for his streams), he actually wants DSP to improve/change for the better (versus me who thinks he's an irredeemable piece of shit and wouldn't mind if he just had a heart attack on stream).

oh, ok, but this is his usual "detractors stole money from me" rant just upgraded for 2022 with terms like "major detractors" and funny enough taking what people say about his community and his pignosis but making about the detractor community.

Which is why I'm a little confused why An responded to this at all since he doesn't make money off PP and this is just phil going through the victimhood motions, if it were about anyone specifically, I would figure supercrazy since that was the most specific example of detractors making money off phil discussed on the forum he totally doesn't read.

It might be my memory playing tricks but I'm quite sure he said several times words to the effect of" making money or some other form of clout/personal gain". I thought he did so to cover his ass in regards to PoP and An.

I might be wrong though and I sure as shit am NOT listening to that Phil tism rant again, it was painful enough the first time.

This disrupts his "IM BROKE" narrative. Look at this... almost every body has double, triple, quadruple more subs than him and he's still at the top.

If you make a full living in the most expensive part of the country were you can DoorDash everything and buy every console and video game that comes out... you're not a small fish.

I kinda figured he more meant this little "detractors circle jerking themselves off" thread and twitter, a lot of examples of cope he brings up are things brought up in this thread and twitter like not being good at street fighter or talking about if and when he'll wage quit a game like sifu

That also contradicts what he said in the beginning of the rant where he said it was ok to make THYDP to expose his bad game play but it's people who make money and get likes (hint hint hint) he has issue with and then the tism vortex picks up speed my god does he bounce around form point to point contradicting himself constantly.

It's amazing how more digestible his rants are with commentary or at the very least SnortBurnell altering the speed and pitch of his voice.

It's an insane rambling going in circles from random topic to topic from THYDP to paid shills are doing to bad things to the public at large like him to ad revenue to he makes no money.

I think I missed something, when did phil specifically call out An1337? an1337 posted a community post on yt calling out DSP for saying he makes money off restreaming phil and some other things that came off MATI and puzzle puzzle piece-ish.

I figured that rant about detractors that make money off him was DSP pulling out the old "detractors are bad" rant from the archives from back in the SoK days. It's a very generic rant that can fit any "detractors kicked my baby" victim segment, cause unless you really piss him off ala SoK, Superhound, tut or Tevin he doesn't know or care who specific detractors are just knows people are out to get him.

I also thought that rant was brought on by him, as we know, reading this thread and the few pages about supercrazy who puts detractor content behind a paywall iirc, not An1337. I know people like him but this came off to me as the "I don't even know who you are" thanos meme with phil as thanos. At the very least I would think it's DDM which phil is very aware exists since his mod run back and tell him what people say in DDM chat.

2.) Detractors have no skill
3.) Detractors are mentally ill
4.) Detractors are profiting from DSPGaming
5.) Detractors are using DSPGaming to boost their career
6.) Detractors want to hurt him because they're jealous of his income
Because in this one case it's all true.

An1337 is one of the nicest streamers you can watch. He does everything for free, even things Phil charges for or claims are impossible. You can very often see An1337 play get destroyed at Mario Kart where he plays with viewers for free. So I think Phil should watch out who he calls out because there are two types of detractors, and if his whales find streamers like An1337 they might just drop Phil.

The only boss that’ll give Phil some issues is Melania. And, again, that’s if he doesn’t use summons because then he can’t just zone her out, run in to spam a jump + R2 attack while his summon tanks and wails on her and breaks her stance. He would have to dodge her flurry of hits which I believe is almost impossible to fully dodge anyways.

I think Malenia can still give him trouble even with summons because her second phase melts summons with her AOE attack (the scarlet rose or whatever it is called).
Summons aren't smart enough to run out of AOE range so if he doesn't kill her second phase quick enough, I can see him having some problems there.
(provided he isn't level 200 with 60-70 vigor by then)

It goes both for and against his narrative. Droopy likes to pretend that it's so fucked up to pick on him because he's the "little guy", and generally excuses himself from a lot of things with this as well. And indeed, for someone has been at this for so long, his viewership and sub counts are oddly low.

Except, there is the obvious problem of not only the above, but the fact that he's more infamous than anything else. It's one thing when you're obscure because you're the millionth blonde-haired white girl to stream herself playing any number of popular games such as Elden Ring. Quite another when your audience of direct viewers on any given stream consists of people ready to laugh at you be a stupid asshole, an even bigger audience attending re-streams, and nearly everybody else who knows of you but doesn't pay much attention, is aware of you being an ugly, nasty joke.

Elden Ring Granny isn't some young aspiring entertainer, he's the crotchety old fate of that weird guy who got stomped out by Tokido at EVO 2005, and went on to make a terrible, terrible name for himself. He's The Guy. He's the one with a detractor community. The odds of you hearing of him for the first time in a positive way are practically zero.

Weeble-Waddle is a small fish, but you can see and hear him coming a mile away and nearly everyone is thankful because it makes it easier to avoid him. This also keeps him where he is, forever, a fact he'll never stop being salty about. He said nothing about the above, not just for the narrative-breaking, but for the fact that it shows how much he relies upon guilt-tripping a very, very small group of contributors into tipping huge amounts to make up for HIS fucking up. It shows that even though his antics have cost him a real audience, he still expects to get paid the same as he would if hadn't ruined his own rep.

Blue Collar Burnell knows exactly how much he begs and what he begs for, and that's exactly what comes to mind when he looks at that chart.

Melania is one of those bosses where if your not playing smart summons can be a net negative since she regains health on every strike regardless if it's you or phantom summons.

You're correct, at the beginning of the rant he threw ego/clout into the laundry list, but as it went on it became clear it was all about money (as all things are with Phil).

The most obvious thing he said during that rant was, "The day that everyone who dislikes me turns ads off, stops accepting donations, turns off Superchats, cheers and subs, and monetary donations, is the day that it all goes away."
