Hadn't really given this much thought before, but young Johnny Flynt tried to join a frat full of misogynist male shitlords? Well well. But poor Johnny got rejected because he decided to show all the frat boys that he's insane with ridiculous tales of muggings, amnesia, and so on - tropes from bad TV dramas from the 70s. Did that rejection really cement your self-hatred as a man, John?

I remember he went through rush in either '02 or '03 and told us some off the wall story that he used to live in DC and that he had gotten stabbed in the back of the head during a mugging and had completely lost all of his memory, including his name. Totally not surprised that he ended up having a sex change.​

Whoa whoa whoa, R60:SE?

When did this supposed simple port suddenly turn into fucking Special Edition bullshit? Oh, right, when Wu discovered the disco lights and has to shove them in EVERYWHERE.

Still fucking lying since there are no new costumes (slapping kneepads on Holiday and calling it "new" isn't new), no new body proportions (they didn't even SLIGHTLY ADJUST them even!), more new scenes is bad given how little gameplay there even is, what little "improvement" the sets had is not largely overshadowed by the awful new head trip lighting, and unless Unknown actually lives in one of the supposed new endings it's not going to change a fucking thing*.

*This also, hilariously, completely invalidates any claim the original game version has of that fucking end-game code being useful for the never-going-to-exist sequel because in order for the new endings to work, the algorithm has to be entirely changed to generate the code...unless it is as long suspected and that end-game code generator just gives random bullshit since the code was inconsistent between identical runs during experimentation by kiwis

I keep thinking Psychonauts every time I see "New R60" because of how fucking bright those colors are. How bright and happy those colors are. I'm sorry, but isn't this supposed to be a goddamn black project space death laser, not the launch platform for the Flight of Fear rollercoaster?

I'm not saying that a setting which I'm guessing would be sci-fi/industrial mostly can't be brightly colored, but simply sticking fucking christmas lights at full blast everywhere is not the way to do it. Fuck Donkey Kong 64 made a motherfucking evil toy factory with colors up the ass and it looks far more dingy, sinister, and deceptive than what Wu's gone and done:

The texture reuse on the metal bulkheads is painfully obvious, but you'd be a moron to say that the walls are baren of color just because it's mainly gray. The rust patterns break the gray up and combined with the lighting do well in disguising pattern cloning. Additionally, that back wall has subdued bluish-violet tones to draw attention to it, the same idea being how that tunnel is made of lighter color choice to make it stand out from the rest of the walls despite technically being just gray and brown as well. THIS is good color use without being so overloaded with pastel neon lights that it makes your eyes bleed.

I think it's an error to see women's issues and gay issues as synonymous.

I don't especially feel that gays are allies when it comes to women. I think that we usually get along well, but I have occasionally felt that gays see us primarily as competition for the penis. When I watch drag queens, I can't help but feel insulted - as if that offensive cartoon is what they think feminine truth is.

There are so many issues women have that gay men never have to think about. Our increased health care costs, equal pay issues, access to reproductive health care and the threat of rape and violence. Concordantly, there are many gay issues that don't affect me - I've never had to worry that society didn't approve of my sexuality or marriage rights.
