Much better than my cat. He has eye boogers. It's not a health thing, he's just very moist.
My cat, specifically on the left eye, has non-stop pink-ish eyeboogers. I have to clean it twice a day. I just figured he was a weirdo cat....maybe he has cat allergies? If it seems like an excessive amount of eye boogers, and he is a shelter/stray/found cat, there is a good chance it is just the remnant of a cat herpes infection, which isn't like the human version. In cats, during the acute phase, it presents as an upper respiratory infection, like a cold. Just like chickenpox for humans, it can stays in their system. Just like for humans, the chronicity of the remnant infection depends on the cat's immune system. Some cats show no symptoms, some cats show symptoms only under stressful situations, and some cats present them chronically, usually as cat eye crust, something with perioccular conjuctivitis (the skin around the eye will be much deeper pink or red than usual). It's usually not a problem. If your cat ever seems to be in distress, you can talk to your vet about symptomatic treatment when you see a flare-up.
