Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

It's honestly an ingenious scheme that successfully defused the movements demanding accountability to the people.

The meme of liberals going "wow! I tried buying a gun but it's so hard and I've not been able to go home with one for a week because of the shit I voted for i didn't know!" is not just a meme.
of course it's also true that people in deep red states think it's a myth that are there are places where it's easier to buy a gun than to buy sudafed

yeah in Florida every time you buy ephedrine is reported to the state
used to be you filled out a sheet of paper with your address, then they changed it to scanning your driver's license

Biden questioning the legitimacy of 2022 was really the cherry on top of that whole press conference. Nevermore can they say that Republicans are crazy and dangerous for questioning election results. I don't recally any national-level elected Democrat suggesting such a thing during Russiagate, it was just a bunch of mealy-mouthed stuff about "influencing voters with fake news." A sitting Democrat president has openly questioned the legitimacy of the elections and any Republican with a brain will be playing that clip nonstop.

Guess you missed the bit where they said Russia stole the 2016 election and put their puppet in the White House, we had two years of investigations, completely with daily meltdowns in the media...and then it turned out, whoops, lmao, FBI made the whole thing up, anyway, how could anyone say our elections aren't safe & secure? That's insurrection!

It has nothing to do with Trump you retard it has to do with the fact that, outside of the beltway war hawks who stand to profit and a bunch of mindless sheep who have bought into the pro-ukraine propaganda that's been flying since Obama's days in office, most people don't think Ukraine is worth Americans dying for.

This isn't the cold war anymore, and there's nothing to gain from rubbing our dicks in Russia's face and daring them to react. It has nothing to do with "Russia dindu nuffin" like you and @Snekposter stupidly seem to believe. It's cold hard reality. Nothing Ukraine has ever done, represented or been, is worth American soldiers lives.

Wake me up when the Russians start herding people into camps (that are different in some way than the camps the koala fuckers and chinks and Austrians etc are herding people into) and then maybe I'll start saying "okay yeah we should probably stop that before it gets out of hand" but people who are seriously arguing we should risk a new world war to protect the territorial sovereignty of some backwater corrupt shithole a globe away is retarded and should automatically be conscripted to the front lines in the event that conflict does break out.
Congresscritters have no amount of flyover sons that they aren't willing to get rid of in order to protect their gravy train.
To add to this, "woke" as we know it today grew out of the progressive stack at Occupy Wall Street.

At the time, OWS was a movement that started up because of the very real anger people felt towards the banks as a result of them screwing everyone over. It was a popular movement and I genuinely believe that people feared it could have started a revolution. So, of course, the 0.01% funded concepts like the progressive stack and got the left to focus on social issues like gay marriage instead of actual economic issues that affect the average American. There is a reason people like AOC and Vaush, both of who think the left needs to focus on social issues first and foremost, get funded by the elites and why anyone who genuinely wants to improve the lot of the working classes in the US gets cancelled and called a fascist; the first type of leftists are very good useful idiots for the 0.01%, and the second type could end up leading a revolution against the 0.01%.

In the 1960's, Jesse Jackson and Students for a Democratic Society (which later became the DSA) worked with an organisation called the Young Patriots that organised poor white Southerners and used the Confederate flag as a symbol. Can you imagine something like, say, the DSA and Nick Fuentes working together today? Of course you can't. The truth is that the left, like you said, has been crippled by progressive ideology and has been made to believe that any form of alliance, no matter how temporary, with social conservatives is le evil fascism. There are very few people who benefit from what shitlibs believe, and they sure as heck aren't the working people.
I'd argue that a lot of the last decade's social upheaval was a direct response to the threat of OWS, and if OWS had happened even ten years prior, it could have managed to do something. But fat fucks with power need to keep it at all costs; what's the stability of the world hegemon when they can create their own new one that won't think of touching them?

The only way I'll ever accept their great reset is if they're stuck out here with the rest of us.

Waiting for the playoffs to start today, I was scrolling through Biden transcripts. What the actual fuck is this?
But, you know, I often say that America can be defined — and I mean this sincerely — I was in — on the Tibetan Plateau with — I think that’s where it was — with President Xi of China. And — absolutely a true story. And we had been traveling — I traveled 17,000 miles with him here in the United States and then in China.

And president — the president wanted me to get to know him because we knew he would be the next president. And President Hu was then President and — but it wasn’t appropriate for the President of the United States to be spending all that time with the Vice President, so I spent a lot of time with him.

They said Russia "influenced voters" and spread "fake news" and used lots of weasel words but national Democrat politicians never went so far as to say the vote count was illegitimate, at least as far as I've seen. They repeatedly said that people were influenced in nebulous way but stressed that actual voting process was perfectly secure. The recounts found nothing indicating that (and some were abruptly shut down when they found things like voting machines in Detroit that registered 400-some votes for Hillary with less than 150 receipts inside the machine).

Now Biden, the president himself, is saying the 2022 election may not be legitimate.

Have glowies infiltrated the vax mandate march yet?
Still no glowies, it looks like. My bet is they'll show up when the protestors are leaving. Right now everyone is still listening to speeches. Meanwhile here's all the pro-mandate counter protesters that showed up:

Posobiec claims the guy on the right riding a bicycle is a D.C. Antifa member who tried to stage an acid attack at his Deploraball back in 2017.

Anyone who says that achieving GOP objectives will result in long term defeat is an idiot. The nation is hungry for resolutions to issues like abortion, one way or the other.
Aye, these issues have been kicked down the road for so long that solving them, one way or another, actually sets the stage for the resolution of them as issues.

Which is why the uniparty wanted them to be extended as long as possible.

Biden legit and unironically pulling the Grandpa Simpson move

I think the Civiqs approval poll is fucking with the numbers.

If you care why I just focus on this poll: they report everyday so you can clearly see a continuous noisy trendline down for Ol' Joe, they break down approval by state, and it's a generic baseline that you need to start if you want to see trends. Also, switching polls midstream while using one baseline is unwise because comparing different methodologies may skew results so keeping the same probing method is good for testing.

I say this because when I checked on Civiqs a few days ago:

I just read the numbers off the website, nothing more.

Not only do these numbers not exist when you look back at the time when the post was done, but the treadline was moved in various ways. I'll use the Riden with Biden Four for example. Net approval is still -22.

Maryland is approve+1 now, which I don't even believe because its been static for over a month while Democrat bastions like California and New York has only gotten worse for Joe in that month.

Massachusetts is now back to approve+7, which makes little sense that it could just puff back up. It could be noise, but time will tell.

Vermont is similar at Approve+7. Semi-similar demographics from MA, except whiter and more college educated. Still a far cry from the +2 that's now erased from the books.

The most damning thing is Hawaii. Hawaii is now Approve+4, signifying a large crack in Asian support since whiter states have only "stayed at +7" for the "fortified results." However, higher asain populations like California were not affected in the slightest. Don't have any idea what they did here.

I really don't know what their doing fudging the numbers like this (methodology wise, we all know why), but without significant movement in the other states, I think Civiqs is trying to keep up appearences for Joe. Remember that new push that "The media is so unfair to Biden" narrative that they created. These guys must've gotten the memo.

TLDR: What's his true approval rating then?

Lower than they tell you.
I know for a fact that Civiqs fiddles with the numbers. Me and a bunch of people from Red Eagle Politics' social circle diligently tracked their Opinion of Black Lives Matter poll throughout 2020. There were times where Favorability of BLM would reach another low-point, only to be back up ever so slightly a day later, with zero sign that it was at that low point.

Their trajectories aren't accurate because it doesn't capture all those small bumps-up on the downward trajectories of BLM, Pedojoe, and others.

Keep in mind they're closely tied to the Democrat hack website DailyKos. However a lot of Dems in 2021-2022 have dismissed Civiqs because "there's no way Biden's approval is that low!". I do think Civiqs is closer to the mark than many other pollsters but they do have legitimate flaws - they're definitely not GOP/Trump aligned despite their current low Biden approvals because they certainly underestimated Trump's approval in places like New Hampshire (they currently overestimate Pedojoe's approval in New Hampshire); it can also be argued they overestimated Trump's approval in Virginia while underestimating Pedojoe's approval in Virginia.

Forget the headstone, this is modern conservatism in a nutshell. Just get her done already. It's been 50 years.

I don't want to see any Indiana Jones Conservatives.

Newt Grinch is talking some very big talk on Fox right now. He says the 1/6 Committee's members are going to jail if Republicans take control of Congress after the midterms.

I never voted for him. Hell, I haven't voted since I was 20 and became disillusioned with the shitshow, and I'm getting close to 40. I would have been content to never vote again. But you can be sure I will if he runs again. Spite is a helluva thing.
Interesting, when was the last time? 2004? Did you vote for Dubya or Kerry or someone else? If you were 20 in 2000 you'd already be 41/42 so I'm guessing you're referring to '04.

I wonder why you didn't bother voting in 2008-2020. I guess the "both sides are similar and shit" sentiment?

It's hard to compare gun and abortion rights. They are not equal.

The right to keep and bear weapons, armor, and ammunition is a right that's actually written down as an expressed right. To exercise that right, there are a number of barriers. Licensing, fees, identity verification, testing, certification, fingerprint submission, storage requirements, transportation requirements, etc. Of all the things we consider to be an inalienable right, guns are the most regulated and prohibited.

Abortion is almost the exact opposite. It's not written down as a right. The constitution doesn't mention it. It is a privilege that 9 unelected people decided upon, and even then, their decisions were based on medical care and not abortion specifically. You aren't even allowed to ask a person if they are getting an abortion, or why they are getting one, as it is "an undue burden on the exercise of rights." There's not even another medical procedure that carries the same rights as a woman seeking abortion. You can't buy cough medicine in the United States without being federally tracked, but ask a woman to look at a picture of her baby before killing it and you're depriving them of a human right.

Abortion is the MOST protected activity a person can partake in while in the states. Gun ownership is a privilege that's constantly being eroded or having a price tag attached to it. Comparing the two only makes people that give a shit about human rights angry. You can't buy a cup of lemonade without government intervention, but getting a human life vacuumed out of you is the ultimate human right somehow.

"Shall not be infringed" gun rights vs "where the actual fuck in the Constitution is this?" abortion rights is a case example of American Constitutional jurisprudence being nothing more than Calvinball with gravitas.

But is that wrong in that case?

I've been thinking about it a lot. I remember when Ginsburg died and McConnel and Trump rammed through their justice. A lot of people were so scared that it'd energize the Democratic base, and election fraud aside it sort of did. But here we are in 2022. Honestly, despite some of the Supreme Court cuckery we've faced we wouldn't have nearly the same amount of wins as we're getting without Barrett on the bench. So it was a short-term loss, and a long-term win I'd say. Maybe it's the same deal with abortion.
