Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I think that you are underestimating the amount of political hay that could be made from the first US presidential assassination in over 50 years. 1) COVID is necessary, because they don't have the authority to maintain draconian control over their populations. How does TERROR ALERT DOUBLE RED and the new Patriot Act power grab not offer a permanent solution to an emergency powers problem from an emergency that seems to be solving itself? The bill would just need to couch absentee/mail in voting as a safety priority to give them what they want.
2) Do you actually believe that Russia is going to play games in eastern Ukraine right after a US president gets whacked in public? Kamala would cherish the opportunity to show how STRONK she is.
3) They're doing a fantastic job of ignoring the border now, and I'm pretty sure that a "National Tragedy" will only help. Not sure what your point is here.
4) The economy is a confidence game, to some extent. People aren't entirely mercenary. They want to think that what they're doing matters. If they can play it right, an event like this would offer the sort of unity that Dem's have been pushing for, namely the unity where Trump/populist types apologize for existing, admit that maybe they got carried away and go back to doing what they're told and getting what scraps they're allowed. We'll call this a "sobering effect" and it should help get people back to work, especially with the end of a no-longer-necessary CoV pandemic.

And hell, the CIA might be psyched to do it after the way Biden dogfucked their credibility by abandoning their assets in Afghanistan.

The things you’re invoking would require will, cohesion, clarity of purpose, and most of all competence to pull off. The fact that things have progressed in the exact way they have means they precious little of any of those.

I've said it many times in this thread, but the big reason why people believe in conspiracies is because they want to believe SOMEBODY is in control of world events.

People thinking Obama is currently in control is actually more comforting than the truth, which is that NOBODY is in control right now.

Why does Mr. Skirt-Wearing Pervert have other kids fighting for his honor like this? Has anyone explained the connection between him and the ones who're attacking the accuser?

The fact that Obama said that he wishes he could have a stand-in in order to have a third term kinda pushes that up from cope into something that is remotely plausibly true.

That being true and Obama being the one in charge of Biden's presidency or atleast the one Jen Psaki is aligned with can both be true at the same time.

It was most likely a slip up and Obama isn't involved day to day. But her working for president Obama isn't outside the reals of probability.

He's called that forever now, doesn't mean he's running shit.

I don't think they are even emotionally nor intelligently capable of burring a hatchet with someone that is of the right of them much less convince them that war with Russia is a good idea.

It's a deep blue area. Pretty good chance the kids have lived their entire lives hearing the "ReTHUGliKKKans are EEEEVIL!" screed. Now a Republican who actually seems to have balls won VA, and this girl's ordeal tipped the scales. They can't do anything about Youngkin, but they can blame this poor girl for his win, and I bet the teachers are in no hurry to stop it.

Someone upthread said to get her into an MMA class. I disagree. Her and her family need to pull up stakes ASAP, before the parents of the kids attacking her get any ideas. Move out to the boonies, they'll be hailed as heroes.

The big tell was when he tried to claim that Biden won legitimately without the help of election fraud. Nobody with access to all the information on this forum honestly believes that.

I was willing to believe him only up until that point.

Instead, they've decided to advocate for less punishment on her rapist's behalf in court. I wouldn't expect parents this fucked up to do anything reasonable to protect their daughter.
