You are aware that most writers are actually under a rather tight leash, right? Especially with kids shows, a lot of content is usually run through target demographics and testing groups and most often writers that are contracted usually continue a status quo or work under a lead writer. If you're running under a huge production company like Cartoon Network or shit like that, chances are you are not going to actually input any of your personal ideas unless you have a number of years and a huge resume backing you up. You are contracted to write what the bigwigs and the focus groups say they want. If they want Barney, you will write Barney or you can go find a different place to give you a paycheck.

I don't enjoy it. The whole reason I'm here is because I got lumped in with a bunch of autists who think this shit is any good, but it really isn't. I only recognize shit from the show because again, I wouldn't have been able to otherwise, since that's not the kind of shit I'd like to watch on my own time.
