They go hand in hand but there's a difference between actual autism and being mentally/emotionally stunted because society has shifted to glorifying antisocial and degenerate behavior. Even autistic people, at least the ones who grew up way before the age of social media, were encouraged to ingratiate into society and live like a normal person with a normal social life. Nowadays if a person acts like a weirdo social reject you're not allowed to criticize it or even simply call it out, because genuine self improvement is bigotry/ableism/sexism/homophobic/whatever.
Are more people being diagnosed with ASD today than, say, 10 years ago? Of course, because progress in psychological fields has helped recognize less visible symptoms and correct old myths, but I highly doubt we're suddenly seeing a legit massive spike in numbers thanks to TRA exposing true behavior. Most of them are just dumb degenerates spurred on by society to continue being dumb degenerates.
