We've even had a poster or two ITT who's complained about that as well. Now that the dust is settling and most people willing to brave the lines have caught up with the story, I think my eyelashes might tattoo their imprint on my brow bones from the VENAT IS AN ABYOOZER opinion that some of the community is deciding to go with. I struggle to think of any decision that any character in a leadership position has taken in fiction that hasn't been called ABYOOSE in the last 20 years.
I'm letting my confirmation bias take over and continuing to chalk it up to more proof that, even when XIV blatantly shoves the context of its own story in the player's face, nobody actually pays attention to it and they just react to whatever's immediately in front of them with hardly any forethought or regard to anything that happens before or after any given moment.
