Soooooo, now that these "treatment" pills are getting approved, is the rationale for the EUA approval simply gone?

Are they getting approved, or authorized? There is a difference.
Approved means it's totally in the clear from the FDA. In the US, Comirnarty from Pfizer is the only COVID drug approved, however it won't actually be available until around 2023.
Everything else, including the BioNTech vaccine, is under emergency use authorization. However, once something is available that is approved, it revokes the authorization. Part of the authorization for emergency use means there are no other approved alternatives.

There is no evidence that it is more deadly than the 99.8% survival rate for earlier strains of COVID, and right now it seems if anything its less deadly than its ancestors.
Its probably because the vaccines only target the spike protein, and at this point most of the unvaxxed have probably already caught COVID, and so have more comprehensive (ORF1ab, ORF3a, Nucleocapisid, Membrane, Spike) T-cell reactivity.
Some of the major changes to "omicron" are to the spike protein, the sole protein the vaccines are made to target.
Fortunately, its still a statistically non-lethal disease for most age cohorts.

My wife works at a nursing home and a couple of tripple-jabbed old ladies tested positive with the coof after showing symptoms. My wife still had to care for them all day since most of them are senile as fuck and can't wipe their own ass. So much for "Immunity" after being double jabbed and boostered but im sure those were just one of the tens of million rare breakthrough cases.
Now, four days later my wife tested positive for the coof too after being tested on saturday. I too show slight symptoms (a little cough, nose a little runny and on saturday i had a headache and sore muscles like i just went to the gym for the first time) but no serious symptoms or fever.
I will drive to get my own PCR test tomorrow and i do pray i too test positive after waiting two damn years. It would save me 2400€ in fines a year for refusing the mandated vaccine come february 2022

That's early Flu. You probably just have an incoming flu but getting tested is still a good idea because whether it's flu or Covid early treatment is the greatest and most effective option for preventing grave illness, lasting damage or death.
lol I'd prefer it if you weren't sick at all but I see what you mean. Best case scenario is that you got Covid but it's not dangerous for you and you get an immediate treatment regimen.

You need to read things instead of letting yourself be stirred into a frenzy, fellow Kiwi fren. There's nothing stating that Omicron can cause Long Covid let alone it's worst form--let alone what even defines "Long Covid" considering the list of symptoms seems more inclusive than VAERS data gathering. Only some experts are speculating that Omicron can cause Long Covid, and one of those experts has also written for the New England Journal of Medicine that there's possibly no way of stopping Covid whatsoever and we need new "universal" vaccines because the ones we have don't cut it.
tl;dr Not yet known if Omicron causes Long Covid at all. Not even President Brandon mentioned it. Fauci suggests it might BUT he also said it's unknown if permanent immunity can even be achieved anyway and it's open fact that the vaccines don't help you from any of this anyway, not from infection or spread or illness, only supposedly preventing "hospitalization and death"--the two things which doctors like McCullough have been straining to tell people are prevented best with early treatment regimens, regimens which Pfizer has now taken into producing with their antiviral drug for which they've requested the FDA give emergency approval.

Yeah, that's why I still refer to Dr. Sebastian Rushworth's pseudo-debunk of "Long Covid".
Aside from the people which such serious cases they require ventilation, Long Covid is pretty much just a combination of 1) post-viral fatigue, 2) post-Covid surveillence revealing underlying issues that people didn't realize they had (i.e. if someone had lung scarring prior to Covid but was never tested for it UNTIL they caught Covid) and 3) fear-mongering & over-reporting.
How often do you get headaches? Now imagine catching COVID and being told by the Man on TV that any headache you get within six months is due to the mysterious magical powers of The Coronavirus (TM) which is unlike anything we've seen before. All the sudden people start reporting dumb stuff like "woah I forgot why I walked into the kitchen for! must be long covid!" to their doctors.
Is it a shtick though?
Last I interacted with that poster he was making wild claims on the Rittenhouse thread about how Kyle was totally guilty and totally getting jail time.
