Best fucked up books

In the film or in the book? In the book, he has more hallucinations like seeing a giant peanut on a talk show. It's more difficult to say but I think most of the killings happened in the book. In the film, I'm going with every killing happened except for the police standoff towards the end.
Might be late but movie's director says that all things happened.

I thought I might contribute a few here.
James Dickey’s ‘To the white sea’ is extraordinary. A tail gunner bails out of his plane over Japan in the final days of WW2. Alone, hunted, sharing nothing in common with those he encounters, he decides to head north. The violence he’d been a tangential part of when dropping bombs is replaced by raw, direct, hands-on violence yet has no more meaning to him than the whistle of the bombs dropping from the belly of his plane.

’My war gone by, I miss it so’ by Anthony Lloyd is a nonfiction book about the Balkan war. Lloyd was a heroin user who, for no other reason than he had nothing better to do, moved to the Balkans at the height of the war to take up photojournalism and get off heroin. Little did he know that the entire zone was awash with heroin in tablet form and about to ramp up into brutal slaughter of civilians. One of the best accounts of the Balkan war I have ever read.

’Footnotes in Gaza’ by Joe Sacco is a wrenching graphic novel written around the oral accounts of violence and brutality recounted to Sacco by survivors of the Jewish ethnic cleansing of disputed areas during Israel’s formation. ‘Palestine’, also by Sacco, tells the story of these people’s children and grandchildren as they are ground underfoot by Jewish brutality.

’100 Bullets’ is a comic series that offers a dark and disturbingly plausible theory about the historical origins of the USA, and I cannot recommend it enough. Told primarily from the point of view of a series of people who have been trained as lethal killers, mindwiped, and sent back into the community to await reactivation for the purposes of killing people who threaten those in control of the nation. Each killer has a different set of values and different attitude to the job, and the reader is slowly inducted into the secret history piece by piece through their eyes. Amazing.

Lastly, as someone pointed out earlier in the thread, you can best judge an author by his short stories. Christopher Fowler is the author of ‘City Jitters’, ‘The Bureau of Lost Souls’ and ‘Personal Demons’, three books of short horror stories which are often based around the legitimate paranoia that comes of living in a vast, semi-hostile urban hive. One of my favorite horror authors, and frankly possessed of greater vision and talent than his contemporary, Clive Barker. Also has many other novels and collections of short stories under his belt but sadly has fallen to cranking out formulaic detective novels of late.

you're supposed to like @Humbert Humbert because he's classy, and hate him because of his stepdaughter rape.
it's the point
In essence, yeah.

Anyways jumping into this discussion: as you can tell, I actually quite like the book Lolita. It’s one of my favorites. I love the prose and the way that Humbert Humbert tries (and succeeds, in some cases) of convincing the reader that he “is not a criminal psychopath seeking liberties with a child” or whatever he said midway though. Nabokov is a genius in the way he went about writing that book. Obligatory “I don’t condone pedophilia or the rape of children”

Who didn't get this from the movie?
Are we in an age where we need unemployed basement-dwelling pseudointellectuals to digest mass-consumer media for us?

Media that was released prior to their birth?

(also the movie was only PARTLY criticizing Americans, mostly it was a slam on the urban Boomer-Yuppies
...a demographic that the millennials have the MOST in common with)

((also he said alpha-male, what about SIGMA males?!?))

I didn't watch the video. I just gave it a Thunk and moved on.

Patrick Bateman (as well as Christian Bale himself) transcends even Sigma male states and goes straight into the OMEGAZONE of masculinity.

I loved this book.

Omicron Male ?
Bateman is not some simple knockoff 4th tier pleb that came out of Africa.

He is the real deal holyfield that maced a pair of prositutes then nail gunned them to the wall while fucking them.

He would be crowned CAESER if he was born in another era.

I don't know if these books could be qualified as fucked up, but I know for a fact normies flinch from these literature creations.
The fact that they want to avert their eyes and close their ears to these books make them invaluable to me, if normies dislike it, if they want it to shut up, it means there is truth to them.
Gustav Hasford: "Old Timers" and "Phantom Blooper"
Wilfred Owen: WWI poems
Siegfried Sasson: WWI poems and "Diary of an Infantry officer"
Ernst Junger: pretty much all of his works
Christopher Browning: Ordinary Men
Normies don't like the truth about war- they don't like mutilated bodies, rotting corpses, murdered children, hunger, pain, herd mentality they dont want to hear it. This authors give you it straight up.
Cormac McCarthy: The Road
Yes, McCarthy is far better known and read than other, but in my experience normies still dont like it. The Road is suprisingly life-affirming book for me. For me it makes a case for the existance of love- the unconditional love of a parent and the beauty of it, surrounded by metaphorical filth and cannibalism of everyday world.
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn: any of his works, but especially "One Day of Ivan Denisovitch"
Just one day of life of a political convict in Stalin's USSR- the cold, the hunger, the work, the whole thing. Solzhenitsyn presents camp as softer than it really was, but the harshness isnt the point, the point is the conviction itself.
Varlam Shalamov: Kolyma stories
Shalamov spend, in total, 17 years in the Stalin's prison camp at the extreme north and east as a political prosioner. Shamov gives you the shit how it really is- the beatings, the constant hunger, the costant cold. Harsh quotas, suicide, beatings, injustice of career criminals against the political ones. Some things would be lost due to translation, but you still should read it.

Next person who proves they haven't read the thread by mentioning 'The Road', or 'Blood Meridian', has to eat a handful of broken glass.

Seriously, this is one of the best and most miserable books ever written. In "Ivan Denisovich" Dostoevsky makes the gulag seem almost like an unheated men's club, with a bunch of cool dudes hanging out and being bros, but Shalamov's gulag is...not like that.

Here, read an excerpt. Unfortunately it does not include "An Individual Assignment."

Fucked Up Kids Books...
When I was a wee lad I read the book:
"I am The Cheese"
about a kid who is the son of a deep undercover agent. His real father is assassinated, and he is placed with a second family.
His memories of his real mother and father have faded, but he recalls the rhyming game played with his original family:
'The Farmer in the Dell' as his original surname was Dell.
He recalls this while escaping his small town and family - and the dozens of eyes watching him -on bike
He realizes his life is a lie - created as a facade for his 'father and mother', and he is truly alone in the world. The last lines of the book state: 'I am the Cheese'
(because the Cheese Stands Alone).

Yeah, like I've said- some things are either lost to translation because they are really really really hard to translate or mistranslated.
"Couldn’t we get along without that?" shouted Seva.
In original it's – Не могли, что ли, без этого! – закричал Севочка.
The most correct traslation would be "Couldn't do it without it? (or withour this?)"- this puncuates his complete indifference.

This:
Trainspotting- Irvine Welsh
American psycho- Bret Easton Ellis
The Night Stalker- Philip Carlo
Daniella- Ka-Tzetnik 135633
The Hollow Man by Dan Simmons
I have a lot of fucked up books but I can't read them anymore. I have a book that's creeping me out so much. It's about sick people who wants to have euthanasia and it describes their deaths.

I've read also that De Sade book but find it boring, same for Lolita. But in my list I have the most fucked up books. I have also
many books about holcaust survivers, serial killers but also normal and nice books.

Última edición:
The book takes places seven centuries after the Axis won the second world war (now called the Twenty Year War). Germany now dominates Europe and Africa, Japan everywhere else. "Inferior races" have been wiped out, the few remaining Christians are persecuted. The Nazi realm – a weird, retro-futuristic feudal society – is based on extreme militarism, conformity and patriarchy, and a bizarre quasi-religion based on a divine Hitler, who literally exploded from the head of God the Thunderer. Hitler was seven foot tall with long blond hair, and almost single-handedly won the war.

Also, a sickening misogyny has been given legal force: rape is no longer a crime, and women exist merely to breed the next generation of Teutonic supermen. They are cowed and brutalised, hunchbacked, literally herded together. Muscular boys and men are considered beautiful; women are soft, stupid, disgusting. An Englishman, Alfred, visiting a friend in Germany, meets one of the ruling knights and learns a potentially fatal piece of information: far fewer female babies are being born. For so long told they are non-people, women are now subconsciously breeding themselves – and the Aryan race – out of existence. Thus begins his slow recovery from the disease of hatred and ignorance, and towards a denouement which hints at a more hopeful future.
