I'd bet it's because Phil increases the member goal every time it is met. In august and october, he failed to meet the goal, which forced him to have a lower goal for the following months. I wonder if he does it to keep the goal low enough to not need to keep even more accounts on renewal.

But isn't the whole point of being a member just to support Phil and not expect anything special in return? Of course that's what he'd like but he knows that it isn't true, why else would he push for the member's goal. I wonder if we'll see a pattern of missing then hitting a sub goal.

Look, they're totally different fucking things, okay? One's a physical piece that you actually own to customize a possession that you value, which is obviously dumb. You could, instead, put that money towards an internet beggar to wear gunnar glasses for as long as 2 consecutive hours until he decides he's done with it and takes them off.
