It's been theorized (maybe by just me, I'm not sure) that Superthanks would be unlocked for Phil if he hit a certain subscriber threshold - the number I have in my head is 250k+. However, this doesn't seem to be the case:
As you can see, Snort Burnell has only 16.3k subscribers and has Superthanks enabled. I'm told that it's actually more to do with comments received on videos - so this is the reason for the sudden push in "Kahmment! Like! And Subscribe!" from our dearest Peepee.

I wrote out the post but forgot to actually send it - but Phil has retconned why he didn't buy the GTA trilogy. He originally said he was going to play 3 -> VC -> SA in order of release, but he couldn't because he couldn't afford it and was hung up on begging for someone to donate him store credits to buy the trilogy. Earlier he said he was smart and held off on buying it incase it turned out bad because game developers always release shitty remakes and remasters, and he'd be able to test the waters with GTA SA first.
Not that he literally couldn't afford it and had to whale call for two weeks until a pig donated it to him, nope, he's two steps ahead of everyone. Always.

San Andreas is free on Gamepass. So is Forza 5. This is why he's playing them.

He'll play both GTA 3 and SA and then make an excuse to not play Vice City - the only one that has to be paid for. Mostly likely "Why would I pay $60 for a 15 year old game?"

He says a lot of things. He didn't start playing either game (GTA: SA or Forza) until the day they were on Gamepass.

I'm pretty sure he said on todays pre-stream that someone bought him the trilogy and he will play all 3 games,
The one thing he isn't sure about is whether he should play them back to back.
I believe six70two was the whale who confirmed that he gifted it to him in chat as well.

I can believe that. I'm just saying he started with San Andreas b/c he could play it for free.
He leased the BMW and finally bought a car (Nissan, I think).

Yeah, what I meant was he originally was planning to play them in order, so 3 -> VC -> SA, but he ended up having to play SA first because it's on Gamepass and a paypig hadn't gifted him the trilogy just yet.
During SF earlier he framed it as if he intentionally waited to try SA first, to see if the trilogy sucked or not. It stood out to me as another scenario where Phil needs to rewrite history in a way that makes it sound like his finger is on the pulse of everything.

If I can give any advice as a CPA candidate about saving money for a major purchase, investing in a terrible livestreamer who sucks at video games is a smart investment that will certainly pay off in the future. Clearly Jaxx is a smart financial investor

I'm intrigued by this because it strongly indicates that in many previous gifting instances, it's Phil that has pushed the gifter to remain anonymous, or he has not actually bothered to look at or ask who it came from and therefore just assumes they want to be anonymous. This is a solid explanation for why so many people who are otherwise attention whores seem to refuse credit for gifting him things - Phil does not want to give them credit.he says the gifter wants to stay anonymous.

He says at the start this is to "let us know how the day went". This is like store managers having to check in with corporate office every day over the holiday season or something. Earnings are under tight scrutiny and the denty shareholders need their updates.
He is also setting up the future beg here - he has to 'look' at the impact on 'revenue' on DSPGaming after a week of this. Well, he's already begging and getting money to cover these losses (which he just admitted he hasn't quantified and may not have actually declined at all), and he will beg again when he doesn't get the YT money (which he already begged to cover). This is the same scam he pulled with his Twitch payments - begging for it before he knew he lost it, and then begging after he got it to compensate for it being lower (despite having already covered it).
He also just noted that only 'two people tipped' to cover lost revenue. Because only two people explicitly said that's why they're tipping. This is also a scam so he can claim nobody tipped to support because the whales were too stupid to say that's why they were tipping.
There's so much subtle sleeze happening in these little updates now. It's like he sits there after the streams and thinks up his next begging angles, he's just now decided to record a video instead of waiting for the next day's prestream. I still don't understand what prompted this though.
