People shocked at the "but you had a bigger gun" argument clearly haven't been paying attention to the lefty narrative around any of the high profile police shootings.

Literally every one of those cases comes down to a belief that the groids deserved a "fair fight" and that the cops shouldn't have resorted to a firearm unless the perp had pulled their own firearm, no matter how violent they were or whatever else they were armed with.

Look up some of the hot takes from when that girl got shot while trying to stab another girl shortly after the Chauvin verdict. "BUT SHE JUST HAD A KNIFE !!!!!" sounds retarded to anyone with two brain cells to rub together but a lot of people are that dumb. Hopefully there aren't any on this jury.

The closest Reddit gets to a panic attack is realizing their dilatation sessions have not made getting fucked in their axe wound any less excruciating. I think the trial is pretty much cooked at this point. The only hope this memelord of a prosecutor has of winning this case is trying to get one of his verbal traps to spring. Good on the judge for telling him to move on multiple times. It's exhausting how he argued for how "common sense" machine learning is in Apple devices but the dipshit doesn't understand that common sense also entails slowing down before diving between small spaces. Or how common sense can lead someone to getting the fuck out of dodge from a crowd that is throwing shit at you and encroaching on you. Running because you feel you're unsafe is a totally normal reaction. The whole "so this person was not a threat" argument by the prosecutor was beyond retarded, too. It doesn't matter if someone's hands are up if they're coming towards you. Kyle could be lulled into a false sense of security and be attacked.

This trial is clown as it gets. Definitely not surprised if this prosecutor was hired by establishment weirdos trying to set a precedent to abolish 2A. Everything he says feels so artificial, as if he does have a script, as others have pointed out. But it's also likely he's trying to make Kyle step in a verbal trap, too. I haven't watched the entire trial.

I don't think the judge wants to do that though, he wants a jury verdict to legitimize the process. It's a better result for Binger than a not guilty verdict though, because then he can bitch to the media about the mean biased judge.

Politically, sex impacts your beliefs way less than race or age.

The area leans conservative. Plus most women I know see guns as an important part of self defense because theyre physically weaker. I know a woman who got a gun after a homeless dude tried breaking her car window with her and her infant inside.

Additionally, the fact they’re white is a plus. Kyle could be your son or your little brother. Sure, he probably had some view of being a hero and helping his community but most teenage boys do. He is relatable if you know any teenage boys well.

I would be more worried if they said there were 12 danger haired obese 20 somethings. White women as a whole are pretty diverse depending on the area

Putting Rittenhouse on the stand was going 2 ways:

1. Kyle bombs and he turns an almost sure aquittal into a 50-50 guilty verdict.

2. Kyle excels and turns an almost sure aquittal to near 100% aquittal.

It wasn't worth the risk at all, but a weird option came out of it.

Kyle did well, while Binger pissed everyone off with exceptional arguments about how Kyle should've helped the guy who pointed a gun at his head and how he should've just died.
Might've been a wash to weak positive. Dunno.

I know it shouldn't matter legally to a jury whether someone testifies or not, but I'm sure they all wanted to hear from him. In fact, his story aligns almost perfectly with all the witnesses so far and he fills in some holes that I was wondering about. With the pros imploding I'm sure they felt better about it and his (believable) emotion added to the "teenager being attacked by grown ass men" story. But I agree, it was a bit of a wash

Absolutely. I think making Kyle take the stand was a good move. It made him look human and he stuck to his story, never budged, never got tangled up in Binger's bullshit.
The jury now knows that he's a poor little kid stuck in a bad situation. He's not just a scared face in the crowd next to the defense, he's a person. He made choices, some of them poor.
