For resolutions that are an even multiple of the original resolution, this effect is minimal, but pixels are still inserted. For any other resolution it can drastically change the image. The Wikipedia article on Image Scaling covers this and has a comparison of different algorithms. If the court requires literally no alterations to an image, then it can not be resized.

Exactly! It's crazy how brazenly the prosecutor is lying. Even if integer scaling is possible, most devices will apply a filter to "smooth" the pixels -- most commonly bilinear or bicubic.

The problem for Binger is that he took mere misunderstanding off the table. he accused the Defense of having no factual basis for their objection and said very clearly that he -knew- how it worked. That is making factual statements, not just his opinion, and presenting it as informed.
