Richards boomered the explanation but he's basically right. There are multiple resizing algorithms and they all insert new pixels into the image, and all change the image except the naive way of using the nearest pixel value. Unless the image looks blocker like on the left, the image is altered.

If the juror is looking at a zoomed in image and trying to make inferences based on it they should ensure they are using the nearest neighbor algorithm. An iPhone almost certainly uses some kind of linear interpolation because they want the image to look as smooth as possible. Whatever algorithm it uses is certainly optimized to reduce visible artifacts, not for accuracy.

They don't know just how raw Bingers ass is from getting spanked by daddy judge several times, but the way how the judge interrupted the hearing, send them out and then they get recalled after some time means they know Binger did something wrong. Even without being around when Binger gets the belt, they can tell Binger fucked up, even though they don't know how much. And frankly, this case would be over if they did.
 
Genuinely fuming at the prosecutor trying to manipulate the boomer judge's lack of technological understanding with the straight up lies about it being "like a magnifying glass". I'd probably be less upset if this wasn't a clear slimy Hasidic maneuver to try and nullify what's been an almost airtight self-defense case with "b-b-but u werent supposed to be there and brandished a gun!"
 
With that last line of trying to twist the judge words once more despite already trying that for half a day makes me think Binger no longer cares about his career or reputation, i'm convinced he's simply playing to the corrupt Mayor and the democrat party that told him to convict Kyle of super murder by any means necessary, they probably promised him billions in return
