I've definitely met these types too, but I usually wind up fucking with them to make sure they're actually legit mad and 9 times out of ten they are

Of course, I don't think I would've indulged this shitter's ego trip in the first place.
Would have done one better, Rescue him into a AoE spot for that extra measure.

if you pimp them out they do crazy damage (for npcs), meaning faster runs and less headache compared to pugs, while not having to sit in the dps queue. before I quit I did 20 minute AV runs with squadrons, add the 2 hour exp buff (no idea if that's still a thing) and you could knock out 57-60 in that timeframe easily.
don't forget you also get double exp for mobs on your level (or used to at least), so if you do a dungeon the moment you ding and it unlocks it's crazy how fast you get to the next level.
same. at that point I might even be tempted to report him just for lulz, that could easily be considered "toxic behavior" worth a suspension.

Ironically I've dealt with a healer who was like that. I dared to self-heal as a PLD because they had bad gear and were very slow on reactions. Topping myself off whenever I felt it would be useful was akin to insulting their lineage apparently, I told them to be quicker on the draw.
Then I had to solo heal the party through the next boss because he died early in to it to very easily avoided mechanics. He ragequit.

Nothing makes me feel better than carrying the boss fight in a dungeon as PLD when the healer dies and no one can rez them.

Sadly, I'm condemned to be forever a Monk main and to suffer being inflicted by nerfs and removals by each expansion.
But I'm considering suffering as a blue haired lizard machinist main.

You can also level them by doing the dungeons with them too, I'd only send them on missions if you are done using them to level for the day especially if you only have one tank/healer at your level. In my experience and from what I've asked, Stone Vigil is the fastest, if a bit repetitive until the 50s, because Dzemael and Aurum Vale are just more tedious and obnoxious dungeons to run for not enough gain, so just slamming Stone Vigil is just faster from 41-50.

I wish I'd known this before sending them on an 18 hour mission, dumb me.
Working on blue mage for now and I'm actually enjoying it. Have several friends with capped classes so maybe I'll be able to get some of the bigger spells later on. I'm a big FF sperg so I get off to the novelty of just being a blue mage since I love enemy skills in the older games. I can't get shadow flare or bad breath can I? That would be tits.

Blue Mage is a really funny gimmick, especially because its burst opener is absolutely insane, and the raiding as a full Blue Mage party is something I want to do some day. Also yes you can get Bad Breath, full list and where to get the spells here
Spells in instanced content have 100% drop rate if you fulfill the rest of the conditions (Seeing the cast, not dead, etc etc) if done sync'd so if you can get a party finder/friend group to help you out, getting the skills from primal/dungeon bosses isn't too difficult as most of them don't require the EXs.

Make an effort to get 1000 needles asap. Ask a guildy or just a random person in the zone to help. It can easily cheese you to lvl 50.
Rams voice and ultravibration are also easy to get if you gave help from a higher leveled player, and can instakill most non boss enemies.
Aetherical mimicry is super useful, make it a priority to get it as soon as you have access to pharos hard.
Keep an eye on party finder, you can often see groups for harder to get spells. It isnt uncommon to do it twice, where for the first time two people spec tabk/heals, then inverse for the second go.

Yeah I sat at one of the vigils for a few hours last night, had a few new players go "wtf is going on here" when they saw like almost a dozen dark knights just posing with the campfire minion.
