It is byfar the healer with the most to do, in that you'll spend 65% of your time spamming your nuke instead of 70%. Cards are simpler than they seem, and with the changes to sleeve draw you'll rarely get stuck flipping through cards only to convert one because you can't draw the last seal you need. It's the most engaging healer at the moment, but healing still feels shallow compared to the other roles' depth.Going by the above posts then it seems like AST is up my alley then.
People (still) whine about the opener, but it isn't really that bad on PC. Once you realize that the function keys map to your party selection (and you can anyways keybind this to other inputs if you wanted, like control 1-2-3), you can rebind f1-4 to the party slots which correspond to the DPS - viola. Draw a card 30s before the pull, use a GCD to get into combat, throw card at appropriate DPS, draw card, another GCD, throw card, sleeve draw, GCD, throw card, divination. Not really much different from other openers, beyond that you have to recognize which card you've drawn the second time and delay it for redraws if the stupid thing has the same seal. You pick it up fairly quickly. Put the tank on your focus target, and now everything's at your fingertips.
and you're ready to wear out your malefic key
