Judging on how he has multiple comics up about setting up a table at conventions and selling his art to compete with the 15-16 year old anime fanartists, I think he views conventions as a platform to sell his art at inflated prices.

It does seem counterintuitive. Where ever the hugbox/echo chamber is, that's where Lesbian Kick is. That ewok has pissed a lot of people off. He always feels the need to add his opinion to things, when they're not needed.

I imagine he thinks that all con interaction is "Hey I like this thing can I buy it?" and then an exchange of money with everyone asspatting him all the while.

Dobson wants all the credibility and popularity of successful artists without the need to actually interact with anyone.
 
Seriously, somebody explain to me why this guy is notable at all. He makes dumb tweets and you people fixate on them like rabid attention-deficit autismals on Thomas the Tank Engine. One banal tweet is enough to generate pages of frothing shitposts about it. What exactly is it about this guy that triggers you all so much? He seems utterly and completely mediocre at a glance.

Is this like a meta joke? Did you pick out a completely random guy and declare he's a lolcow and then treat every worthless, insignificant thing he does as content, and I'm just the idiot for needing the joke explained to me, or what?

He's a hypocrite, he reacts amusingly to anything he doesn't like, his shitty blue bear avatar, his USI, the fact that he's his worst enemy despite what he tries to tell himself, overreacting to shit that doesn't matter in the long term.

Pretty much as close to a proto lolcow as you can get without being Chris. Just because he doesn't go on ballistic tard rages every now and then doesn't make him a non-cow. It's a more subtle amusement than watching yet another dumbarse threaten to kill Null.

He's a shitty webcomic author who whines on twitter a lot. How the hell is that 'as close to a proto lolcow as you can get'? There is literally nothing lolcowlike about this guy, all I see is spergs freaking the fuck up because he makes comics that say retarded shit like 'lesbian kick' or whatever.

You're new to Dobson, aren't you?

Dobson is one of the proto-cows. Seemingly older than the internet, he's a man who's spiraled into the gutter from his own actions. This was a guy horrible enough to get ForeverPandering to take a break from writing shitty songs to devote 2 videos to everything wrong with this guy. His list of shit includes...

- Giving advice to young, aspiring artists like "don't listen to criticism" and "don't learn anatomy"
- Obsessed with teenage lesbians. Like, really fucking obsessed with 'em.
- Went to a prestigious art school, learned to draw and animate professionally. Made nothing of his education, blames everyone else but him (despite the fact his classmates went on to have careers, he swears his school was terrible, taught him nothing, and would get him nowhere), now lives in squalor with a measly $150 a month on Patreon.
- Artwork has somehow gotten worse and harder to look at as the years have gone by.
- Has taken to drawing comics that have become these bizarre, smug, perpetually angry tracts.
- Attacks people on social media, often in the most repugnant of ways.
- Is a such caricature of your typical beta-male "cuck" to the point where he can act as a measuring scale for other beta-males.
- Had a sizable fanbase. Squandered it gloriously.
- Reacts to everything in a childish and overblown manner.
- Artwork often has such glaring flaws they become comical, i.e. the thu'um face.
- Refuses to improve, believing he's flawless.
- Has a history as a fetish artist (inflation specifically), refuses to own up to it, then morally grandstands against others.
- Attacks anime, anime fans, and anime-style artists despite the hugely noticeable effect anime has had on his own artwork.

The list goes on, but I'm bored now. You get the point. Dobson is one of the OG lolcows.
