I've always been absolutely shocked by the fact that she graduated college in a STEM field and wrote an essay about the fetishization of Asian women. Like, really that's just been mind boggling information that I haven't really been able to figure out what to do with. Wow. I hadn't kept up with anything Yumi has done since she announced she was pregnant, but I sure am glad she's broken up with that nasty lolicon husband. Always got absolutely rancid vibes from him and their relationship was definitely based on some kind of dubious fetish.
Honestly, props to her for the way she seems to be handling things? While I always agreed that her now ex husband was pretty creepy with a shady past of previous marriages and children to other foreign women, Yumi was never completely innocent. There was never anything normal about their relationship. He wanted a little girl looking bride and she wanted a man to take care of her. I did feel kind of bad for her later on in their relationship because she didn't seem to be very happy.
But she really screwed herself over on this one. If she hadn't cheated and they divorced she could have gotten alimony on top of child support.
I do wonder how the affair occurred. It never occurred to me that Yumi could even drive and when she got pregnant was during Covid so her husband must have been home all the time.

Well, we know Yumi's mom never seemed particularly keen on her daughter's Youtube shenanigans. She's refused to appear on camera, told Yumi her hauls looked like cheap trash and junk, and urged her to learn practical life skills and find a real job. Pure speculation, but it is possible Mama King has declined to provide childcare while Yumi makes videos, or sets boundaries around where Yumi is welcome to record in their home.
That would explain why Yumi seems to be sneaking videos while her son naps or plays quietly nearby, but it would not explain why she chooses to misrepresent her living situation as far more precarious than it seems to be in reality. It's hard to see this as anything but a deliberate attempt to milk her subscribers for pity and money.
Timeline-wise, Yumi posted her pregnancy announcement on March 15, 2020. In that video, she says her fetus measured 21.55mm, which would be consistent with 8 1/2 weeks gestation. Conception would've occurred sometime in late January - that is, before the logistics of an affair would've been complicated by Covid shutdowns.
We can see Yumi was required to turn over all of her social media posts and texts, which would presumably establish a timeline for her interactions with the other man. We cannot see the communications themselves, however. And I don't see anything in the divorce paperwork about a paternity test, court ordered or otherwise - just a mutual acknowledgment that the child is not her husband's biological son.
Yumi occasionally shares images of her son from behind. Here, we can see is big for his age and has lighter-colored hair - no red flags here, paternity-wise:
At least Yumi is still keeping his face off the internet. Poor little dude.

I wouldn't put it past her especially with the one video where she dragged Splenda all over looking for her ex boyfriend, but is it possible that Splenda and his lawyer bullied her into agreeing that the kid isn't his? I imagine he has more money to drag things out in court and he already got out of paying child support to previous kids. It seems he has a playbook for this kind of stuff.

That would seem consistent with what we know of them - even when Yumi tried to paint him as her "cute boyfriend," Scott came across as a weird mean bullying creep. It's easy to picture him berating Yumi until she gave in. But the state of Georgia also has an interest in establishing paternity - if a custodial parent accepts state benefits on their child's behalf, social services will go after the noncustodial parent to reimburse the state for this expense. So the court is unlikely to just let Scott and Yumi say without evidence that he's not the parent and doesn't have to pay child support.
If you look up their respective lawyers, Yumi's is a widely regarded expert in family law whose "reasonable fees" are nevertheless far from cheap. One suspects Yumi's mother and stepdad were looking out for the best interests of their daughter and grandchild. On the other hand, Scott's lawyer seems....odd. She's not only a lawyer, but also a faith healing pastor without any theological training whose law firm won a local "Reader's Choice" award by having her congregation spam an online poll with burner accounts. But odd as she may be, we can see that she requested Yumi to turn over a vast quantity of documents, including medical bills and records, travel documents and the identity of any traveling companion, communications via text, email, social media, and physical media (including deleted), and so on. Something in that disclosure was probably what convinced the court that Scott was not the biological father of Yumi's child without requiring him to submit a paternity test.
If we're out here baselessly speculating, it's possible that Yumi might have established her child's paternity in an attempt to bail on her weird unhappy marriage and land in a new relationship with her affair partner, and was compelled to turn over this information to the court.
As an aside, I don't think it's so weird that Yumi would be cheating while also actively posting about trying for a baby within her marriage. Lots of people wrongly believe a baby will fix their struggling relationship, and in the meantime, her affair partner was making her feel pretty and special in ways Scott no longer did. I do think it is unlikely that she meant to get pregnant by her affair partner, given that she immediately sought to give the impression that the child was Scott's.
While Scott certainly seems to be a controlling asshole and deadbeat dad, it's increasingly clear that Yumi is not too stupid, submissive, or easily manipulated to run a con.

Back on the other farms a few months ago someone posted that Yumi was cheating, made a seeking arrangements account and got an STD from one of those guys. And that the father wasn't Scott and to look up public records. I wonder if the medical documents the lawyer requested had something to do with the STDs if those claims are true.
Also wanted to add, hearing that she was cheating is not too surprising for me. I personally knew a FOB Chinese like her, who while she didn't cheat on her boyfriends as far as I knew, would find boyfriends quickly and really focused on the status of those guys. She was clearly social climbing. One boyfriend wouldn't be good enough due to his income/status/or some other thing and kept her options open. Likewise she said how she really liked this one guy she dated, but his (Chinese) parents didn't approve of her because of her background, where she went to high school in China, her degree etc. And they had to break up. It gave me the impression social climbing is very ingrained in Chinese women's culture.

So I just got in on the yumi king drama and holy shit, I was not expecting this. I used to watch her when I was like 12-13 and stopped when she turned all her attention to her boyfriend. At that age, it gave me a feeling that it was creepy, but I was too young to understand it. Now I took a look back at her channel and there was so much stuff that was wildly inappropriate for the majority of her viewers, including younger me. While I'm glad she finally broke up with the pedophile she called a husband, my own lasting impression of her still stands. I worry about how many other younger girls were exposed to all of this. It's disgusting.
